Westminster's Davis, Saint Vincent's Jackson Named PAC SAAC Scholar Athletes for January

TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – Westminster graduate student Breannda Davis (Streetsboro, Ohio | Streetsboro) and Saint Vincent College senior Aiden Jackson (Carroll, Ohio | William V. Fisher) were named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Scholar-Athletes of the Month for January.

Each month, the SAAC groups at PAC member institutions are asked to nominate one male and one female student-athlete for PAC SAAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month consideration based on academic and athletic accomplishments. Nominees must be varsity team members in their respective sport and in their junior or senior year. Scholar-Athlete of the Month nominees must also have a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and be actively involved within their campus communities.

Davis opened the month of January with a top performance at the Al Campbell Invitational, hosted by Akron on January 17. She finished sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.49 seconds, which is tied for the top time in the league this season. At the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational, her second invitational of the month, Davis registered a fifth-place finish in the heptathlon with 3,188 points, which rank second in the PAC this season. She also placed third in the high jump with a season-best mark of 1.62 meters (5-3.75), was fourth in the long jump after ripping off a career-best mark of 5.40 meters (17-08.75), ninth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.68 seconds, ninth in the shot put with a top throw of 9.10 meters (29-10.25) and tenth in the 800 with a time of 2:43.36.

In addition to her stellar performance on the track and field, Davis has made 19 appearances for the women's basketball program this winter. 

Davis earned a bachelor's degree in finance and business administration in May and is now pursuing an MBA with a 3.9 GPA. A five-time Dean’s List honoree, she was named a USTFCCCA Division III All-Academic Athlete in 2024 and earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors for basketball and track and field in 2023. 

Beyond academics and athletics, Davis is a leader in Westminster’s Black Student Union, which provides academic and social support for minority students, promotes cultural awareness within the Westminster student body, and serves as the official organization for culturally diverse students.

Female January honorable mention nominees included: Allegheny junior Jess Bickart (women’s basketball); Bethany senior Alexis Mahaffey (women’s indoor track & field); Franciscan senior Jazzlyn Melnyk (women’s basketball); Grove City senior Danika Sudar (women’s indoor track & field); Saint Vincent senior Lily Holsey (women’s swimming & diving); Washington & Jefferson senior Meghan Dryburgh (women’s basketball); Waynesburg senior Madisen Dayton (women’s basketball).

Jackson opened up his 2025 indoor track and field season on January 17 at the Youngstown State Collegiate Invitational, finishing 18th in the 3000-meter race with a PR time of 9:12.39 and going on to finish 41st in the one-mile run with a time of 4:34.15 at the SPIRE Midwest Invitational a week later. At the Youngstown State Mid Major Meet January 31st-February 1st, Jackson helped the Bearcats' Distance Medley Relay team record the 10th best time in the country in NCAA Division III this season. The team compiled a time of 10:28.69, finishing fifth in the field of 11 teams. Jackson went on to place 20th in a field of 73 runners in the one-mile run with a time of 4:29.02, besting his time by five minutes and thirteen seconds from the previous week.

A Business Management major with a 3.93 GPA, Jackson has been named to the Saint Vincent Dean’s List seven times. He has earned PAC Academic Honor Roll accolades each semester of collegiate competition and is a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree. 

Jackson is an active member of his campus and community, serving as a theology tutor and participating in Men’s and Campus Ministries. He is also involved in the Ultimate Frisbee Club, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus.
