Waynesburg's Mittendorf, Allegheny's Kralic Named PAC SAAC Scholar Athletes for October

TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – Waynesburg University junior Reagan Mittendorf (Bluffton, Ohio | Bluffton) and Allegheny College senior Graham Kralic (Beaver Falls, Pa. | Riverside) were named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Scholar-Athletes of the Month for October.

Each month, the SAAC groups at PAC member institutions are asked to nominate one male and one female student-athlete for PAC SAAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month consideration based on academic and athletic accomplishments. Nominees must be varsity team members in their respective sport and in their junior or senior year. Scholar-Athlete of the Month nominees must also have a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and be actively involved within their campus communities.

Mittendorf led the Yellow Jackets to a 4-1-3 October, scoring four goals while adding three assists. The junior midfielder/forward totaled a season-high four points (one goal, two assists) in Waynesburg’s 8-0 victory over Thiel on October 9th. With a stellar October performance, Waynesburg went on to earn the sixth seed in the PAC Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament, finishing with a winning record for the second-straight season, the first time the program has done so since 2011. 

The Forensic Science major maintains a 3.98 cumulative GPA, while also minoring in Biology and Chemistry. Mittendorf earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-Disctrict honors in 2023, while also being named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll in 2022 and 2023.

On Waynesburg’s campus, Mittendorf is a member of the Gamma Sigma Epsilon National Chemistry Honor Society, while also being a member of the Society for Analytical Chemistry Honor Society. She serves as a researcher in the University’s Chemistry Department, while holding the position of ACS Coordinator of the American Chemical Society.

Female October honorable mention nominees included: Allegheny senior Meagan Robare (women’s volleyball); Bethany senior Ava Lee (women’s soccer); Geneva junior Lauren Estes (women’s tennis); W&J junior Claire Anderson (women’s cross country); Westminster senior Brooke Horvath (women’s soccer).

A senior defender, Kralic helped the Allegheny men’s soccer team to a 5-2-0 October in conference play, including a 5-3 Senior Day victory over Thiel on October 26, as well as a 4-0 win at Saint Vincent Oct. 30 in the regular season finale. The win over Saint Vincent, in which Kralic helped the Gator defense hold SVC to just five shots (two on goal), lifted Allegheny into the No. 4 seed and a home game in the PAC Tournament.

The three time Distinguished Alden Scholar, as well as three time Alden Scholar, posts a 3.82 cumulative GPA while majoring in Economics with a Communication minor. Kralic has received College Sports Communicators All-District Honors, as well as being named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll twice.

An active member of Allegheny’s college community, Kralic is the Interfraternity Council Treasurer. as well as the Director of Membership Development for the Alpha Chapter of Delta Tau Delta. He serves as a teaching assistant in the Department of Business and Economics and is a Center for Business and Economics fellow. Kralic offers his time volunteering with Breakthrough T1D, a non-profit organization leading global type 1 diabetes research and advocacy, helping to make everyday life better while driving toward cures.
