LATROBE, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - Saint Vincent College and Athletic Director D.P. Harris have announced that Makayla Kintner has been promoted to Head Coach of the women's lacrosse program.

Kintner joined the Saint Vincent College coaching staff in August 2024 as an assistant coach after a highly decorated five-year playing career at Seton Hill University.

"I am incredibly honored to be named the head women's lacrosse coach at Saint Vincent College," Kintner said. "This program has such a strong tradition, and I am excited to build upon that foundation while helping our student-athletes grow both on and off the field. I look forward to working with the team, the athletic department, and the Saint Vincent community as we continue to push the program to new heights."

A defender, Kintner was a four-time IWLCA All-America selection, four-time All-Atlantic Region honoree, four-time first team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) selection and two-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Defensive Player of the Year.

In 2024, she also became the first women's lacrosse player in Seton Hill program history to be named Academic All-America by the College Sports Communicators.

Kintner started all 80 games over her career with the Griffins and totaled 164 ground balls, 137 caused turnovers, and 269 draw controls, while scoring four goals with two assists.

Seton Hill posted a combined 58-22 overall record and 44-3 PSAC mark over Kintner's career, reaching the NCAA Division II National Tournament in each of the past four years. The Griffins twice went undefeated in PSAC regular season play, turning in a 12-0 mark in 2023 and a 10-0 conference record in 2021.

"We are thrilled to welcome Makayla Kintner as the new head women's lacrosse coach at Saint Vincent," said Athletic Director D.P. Harris. "Her passion for the sport, commitment to developing student-athletes, and vision for the future of our program make her an outstanding fit for the Saint Vincent community. I am confident she will continue to elevate our women's lacrosse program both on the field and in the classroom."

A native of Vestal, New York, Kintner graduated from Seton Hill with honors with a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2023, before earning an MBA in leadership and management from her alma mater in 2024.

Kintner will begin her duties as Head Coach on September 8.
