GROVE CITY, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - For the seventh year in a row, Grove City College is the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) women's swimming and diving team champion after the Wolverines won six of seven events Saturday in the last session of the 2026 PAC Swimming and Diving Championships.
Women's Team Scoring
Grove City's dominant Saturday closed out another outstanding Championship, as the Wolverines finished with 1,153 points in clinching their 23rd PAC crown. Finishing a distant second in the standings was Saint Vincent College with 606 points, while Westminster College was third with 457 points and Allegheny College was fourth with 410 points. Rounding out the team scores was Washington & Jefferson College in fifth with 311, Chatham University in sixth with 291, Franciscan University in seventh (199), Bethany College (18) and Hiram College (8).
Women's Saturday Highlights
- The opening event of Saturday's session was the 1,650 free, won by Westminster junior Maddy McClain. The event's runner-up the last two year, McClain's winning time of 17:59.23 was nearly 14 seconds better than the event's second-place finisher.
- The final six events were won by Grove City competitors, starting with freshman Katherine Quinn, who took first place in the 200 back.
- Grove City freshmen would also win the next four individual events. The Wolverines' Abby Tweed, who already won the 50 and 200 freestyles, made it a sweep of the sprints when she was first in the 100 free.
- A second Wolverine joined Tweed shortly after as a three-time individual winner for the weekend. In the 200 breaststroke, Grove City's Abigail Vance was first to the wall by more than three seconds ahead of the runner-up.
- In the 200 fly, Grove City's Mollie Massella was the winner in a time of 2:10.09.
- Completing a sweep of the diving events for the weekend was Grove City's Chaeli Keenan, who won Saturday's three-meter diving with an NCAA Regional qualifying score of 437.64.
- In the last event of the 2026 PAC Championships, Grove City took first in the 400 free relay in 3:34.25, more than nine seconds in front of the second place relay.
Award Winners
- Highlighted by her wins in both IM races and Saturday's breaststroke, Grove City's Abigail Vance won both the PAC Newcomer and PAC Swimmer of the Year.
- The Wolverines also had the PAC Diver of the Year in Keenan after she won the one- and three-meter competitions withe regional qualifying scores.
- After guiding Keenan to wins on both boards, Grove City's Fred Evanoff was selected the PAC DIving Coach of the Year.
- Second-year Westminster head coach Todd Slobodnyak was voted as the PAC Women's Coach of the Year.
