The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 7 of the 2023 season.
 
PAC Hitter of the Week
Tyson Bryant-Dawson • Allegheny • Sophomore outfielder • Oakland, Calif./Manvel (Texas)
Bryant-Dawson helped Allegheny go 3-1 last week by slashing .643/.706/1.071 with a team-high nine hits … Had one double, one triple, and one home run with a team-high five RBIs, three runs scored, and four stolen bases … Was 3-for-3 with a double, home run, and a season-high five RBIs in a 12-1 win over Houghton in the series opener … Went 1-for-3 in the second game, a 4-2 win over Houghton … Bryant-Dawson had two hits in both games against Grove City, going 2-for-3 with a triple in the opener and 3-for-5 in the nightcap … Scored once in each game and finished 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts against the Wolverines.

Chatham junior Jake Bredl (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) hit .529 last week (9-17), drove in two in the Geneva win and had two hits in both games against W&J … Junior David Toruno (Menifee, Calif./Paloma Valley) led Geneva to a 4-2 record over the past week by going 12-of-27 (.444) with three doubles, a triple and three home runs, while scoring 10 runs and driving in 11 … Grove City senior CJ Saylor (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) drove in nine runs last week, including a three-run homer to sew up a game-one win over W&J and a three-run blast in the Penn State Behrend victory … Saint Vincent sophomore Dalton Nicklow (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) batted .500 (4-8) with a homer and four RBIs, while also recording a .636 on-base percentage and .875 slugging percentage in three wins … Thiel sophomore Ethan Bintrim (New Castle, Pa./Shenango) had three hits in the Pitt-Greensburg win, including a double and a triple, and hit .467 (7-15) with four runs scored in a 3-1 week … W&J senior Evan Sante (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) had four multi-hit games, as he compiled a .423 average with 10 RBI, five runs scored and four extra-base hits, which featured a walk-off double to lift the Presidents to a 2-1 victory in game two against Grove City … Waynesburg junior Marcos Mendez (Ponce, Puerto Rico/Westminster (Md.)) hit .467 (7-15) over four games with four doubles and drove in nine, including five in the Bethany win … Westminster junior Logan Murgenovich (Aliquippa, Pa./Central Valley) hit .500 (4-8) with two triples, four RBIs and three runs in 2-1 week for the Titans.
   
PAC Pitcher of the Week
Tyler Horvat • Washington & Jefferson • Senior • Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford  
Horvat posted a pair of PAC wins last week for the Presidents … The senior right-hander tossed a complete game to lift W&J to a 2-1 win over Grove City Monday, allowing just one run on five hits and he struck out six Wolverines … Horvat then worked eight innings in a 10-3 win over Chatham Sunday, as he struck out a season-high 10 batters in the win over the Cougars … He posted 16 strikeouts and walked just one, as he compiled a 2.12 earned-run average over 17 innings of work … Horvat has won four straight decisions and holds a 7-2 record in 2023.

Allegheny junior Brent Herrmann (Canfield, Ohio/Canfield) surrendered only four hits and one run while striking out three over six innings in a 12-1 win over Houghton … Bethany senior Zach Nolf (Hubbard, Ohio/McDonald) threw 1 1/3 hitless innings to earn the save over Pitt-Greensburg and then tossed 3 1/3 scoreless relief innings to earn the win over Waynesburg … Chatham graduate student Eric Paulin (Browndale, Pa./Forest City Regional) earned the win over Geneva Thursday after allowing two runs, one earned, and striking out three over 6 2/3 innings … Grove City sophomore Evan Umland (Pasadena, Calif./La Canada) recorded a four-out save Saturday against Allegheny and earned the win earlier in the week with 2 2/3 innings of work against Penn State Behrend … Saint Vincent sophomore Nate Davis (Graceton, Pa./Homer Center) started and worked six innings in Wednesday's nightcap against Franciscan, allowing one run on six hits with three Ks to earn the win … Thiel freshman Cole Sherwin (Karns City, Pa./Karns City) pitched six innings, giving up only two runs on five hits and striking out three, to earn his first collegiate win against Hiram … Waynesburg sophomore Bryce Bedilion (Clarksville, Pa./Jefferson-Morgan) earned the win against Bethany Saturday, as he threw a nine-inning complete game and struck out four … Westminster junior Logan Exler (Verona, Pa./Serra Catholic) improved to 3-0 this season by allowing just two runs while striking out three in six innings in 6-2 win over Pitt-Bradford.
 
PAC Rookie of the Week
Ryan Conover • Geneva • Freshman pitcher • Ambridge, Pa./Ambridge  
Conover went 1-0 and did not allow an earned run in starts against Waynesburg and Thiel … He threw a complete-game, five-hit shutout and struck out six in a 15-0 victory over Waynesburg that was stopped after seven innings … Conover followed that with six strong innings of work against Thiel in which five errors allowed five unearned runs to score … He allowed five hits and struck out seven before Geneva rallied for an 8-7 win … In his 13 innings for the week, Conover gave up just 10 hits and struck out 13 while walking just three, as he lowered his ERA to 1.57, second in the PAC.

Allegheny freshman Nick Banez (Edmonds, Wash./Meadowdale) scored a run in the game-one win over Grove City and had a double and triple and drove in one in the second game … Bethany freshman Devin Toothman (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) belted a three-run homer in the Bison’s 9-6 win over Waynesburg … Chatham freshman Jason Boller (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville Central) had three hits, including a solo home run in Monday’s contest and scored three runs in the pair of games with Geneva … Grove City sophomore David Leslie (Butler, Pa./Butler) went 1-1 with a 1.72 ERA in two conference starts last week, including a win over Allegheny after he allowed one earned run and struck out seven in 7 2/3 innings … Thiel freshman JT Gerle (Ambridge, Pa./Ambridge) hit the game-winning home run in the top of the ninth against Pitt-Greensburg and knocked in four runs in the second Geneva game … W&J freshman Nate Nolan (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) compiled a 0.96 earned-run average in 9 1/3 strong innings of relief last week for the Presidents, highlighted by four scoreless innings with five strikeouts to pick up the win in game one against Chatham … Waynesburg freshman Gavin Pratt (Carmichaels, Pa./Carmichaels) went 4-for-9 (.444) with three runs scored and an RBI in the split with Bethany Saturday.
