Week 4 PAC Honors (for games played March 6-12)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 4 of the 2023 season.
 
PAC Offensive Player of the Week
Lauren Patrarca • Allegheny • Sophomore attack • Simi Valley, Calif./Royal
Patrarca accumulated 15 points in wins over Whitworth and Whitman on Allegheny’s spring break trip to Washington … Helped Gators score most goals since 2013 in 23-6 over Whitworth by recording six goals and one assist … The next day, she re-established her career-highs for goals (seven) and points (eight) in a 16-10 win over Whitworth … Petrarca also had five ground balls, three caused turnovers and two draw controls in the two games.

Chatham junior Sam Beall-dennell (Sykesville, Md./Century) struck for six goals and added four draw controls and three ground balls in the victory over Mount Aloysius … Franciscan graduate student Grace Deegan (Akron, Ohio/Stow) posted her second straight hat trick, scoring three goals in a loss at Oberlin … Grove City senior Madison Nazigian (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest) totaled five goals, seven draw controls and four ground balls against Simmons … Thiel senior Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) scored six goals, added an assist and had eight draw controls in a win over Notre Dame (Md.) … Waynesburg senior Alexis Shandor (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) tallied a game-high four points with two goals and two assists and added six ground balls against Mount St. Joseph Sunday.
   
PAC Defensive Player of the Week
Becca Baker • Chatham • Freshman midfielder/defender • Norritown, Pa./The Shipley School
Baker sparked a Chatham defensive effort that held Mount Aloysius to a season-low in goals in the Cougars’ 16-4 win last Thursday … Baker scooped four ground balls and caused two turnovers, as Chatham allowed just nine shots on goal … Baker’s efforts are helping the Cougars’ lead the PAC in fewest goals per game (6.33) so far this season.

Allegheny junior Sybi Gerhart (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) recorded eight ground balls, caused seven turnovers and had two draw controls in a 2-0 week for the Gators … Grove City sophomore Sarah Jackson (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) forced two turnovers and had four ground balls against Simmons in Clearwater, Fla. … Thiel senior Nielah Jones (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) recorded five draw controls, as well as a pair of goals, in a win over Notre Dame (Md.) … W&J junior Kaitlyn Brown (Charlotte Hill, Md./La Plata) finished with 13 saves in a loss to unbeaten Juniata Saturday … Westminster junior Nina Rascona (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) had five ground balls and added a goal against Medaille last Wednesday.
 
PAC Midfielder of the Week
Ashlyn Wightman • Thiel • Junior midfielder • Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler
Wightman scored 10 goals in Thiel’s 23-15 win over Notre Dame of Maryland on Wednesday … Her 10 goals were the second most in a single game in program history, and her 10 points tied for the second most in program history … Wightman also recorded seven draw controls, six ground balls and four caused turnovers in the non-conference win.

Allegheny senior Senna Perelman (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) led all Gators with 10 goals and 17 points in a pair of wins last week, highlighted by her 12-point (seven goals, five assists) performance in Whitworth victory, which tied the program’s single-game record for points … Grove City sophomore Abby Roetering (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) had a goal and three ground balls against Simmons last Wednesday … W&J senior Sarah Labovitz (Great Falls, Va./The Bullis School) registered a game-high seven ground balls and added four draw controls and three caused turnovers against Juniata. … Westminster senior Stephanie Cimini (Mars, Pa./Mars) tallied one goal, one assist and three ground balls against Medaille.
 
PAC Rookie of the Week
Sam Earnest • Waynesburg • Sophomore midfielder • Honey Brook, Pa./Conestoga Christian
Earnest scored a team-high three goals and tied for the team-lead with six ground balls in Saturday’s loss to Mount St. Joseph … It was the second straight hat trick for Earnest, who also won two draw controls and caused two turnovers in the non-conference match-up.
