Week 5 PAC Honors (for games played March 21-27)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 5 of the 2022 season.
 

PAC Offensive Player of the Week

Brooke Stoltzfus • Grove City • Senior Attack • Elverson, Pa. | Conestoga Valley  Stoltzfus totaled 10 points (8G, 2A) during Grove City’s 2-0 week… She fired in six goals and added two assists Thursday night in Grove City's 16-15 PAC   win over Saint Vincent… That marked Grove City's first-ever conference win… She also had two goals Monday in a 10-5 win at Fredonia State.

Other notable performers from last week

Bethany senior Rikiah Wise (Upper Marlboro, Md. | Bishop McNamara) scored four goals last week… She had three goals in Sunday’s overtime win against Earlham… Franciscan senior Grace Deegan (Akron, Ohio | Stow) finished with eight points (5G, 3A), two ground balls and two draw controls Tuesday against La Roche… Thiel senior Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md. | Western) scored four goals at Oberlin Saturday… W&J sophomore Asia Uhler (East Lansing, Mich. | East Lansing) had three goals and two assists against Bethany Tuesday… She added four ground balls in the win… Waynesburg junior Eve O’Sullivan (Latrobe, Pa. | Greater Latrobe) posted six goals, two ground balls and four draw controls Wednesday night at Muskingum.

   

PAC Defensive Player of the Week

Amanda Effland • Washington & Jefferson • Junior midfielder • Frederick, Md. | Frederick Effland posted a game-high six points in Tuesday’s 15-2 win over Bethany in W&J’s PAC opener… She scored four goals and added two assists… Effland registered a career-high 10 ground balls, recorded four draw controls and two caused turnovers… The W&J defense limited Bethany to a season-low two goals Tuesday.

Other notable performers from last week

Franciscan graduate student Margaret McKee (Raleigh, N.C. | Cardinal Gibbons) had four ground balls and caused four turnovers against La Roche Tuesday… Grove City freshman Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa. | Seneca Valley) earned a pair of wins last week, making 20 total saves… She had 10 saves at Fredonia State Monday, then stopped 10 shots against Saint Vincent Thursday… Kiggins had three ground balls in each game… Thiel sophomore Madison Liggett (Baltimore, Md. | Catholic) had 17 saves and four ground balls at Oberlin Saturday.

 

PAC Midfielder of the Week

Madison Nazigian • Grove City • Junior midfielder • Forest, Va. | Jefferson Forest Nazigian finished Grove City’s 2-0 week with 10 goals… She pumped in seven goals and recorded nine draw controls Thursday night in Grove City's 16-15 victory over Saint Vincent in the league opener… She had three goals and recorded two ground balls Monday at Fredonia State.

Bethany senior Cassidy Mailloux (Belle River, Ontario | Ecole Secoundaire Catholic L'Essor) finished the week with three goals, one assist, five draw controls and four caused turnovers… She scored the game-winning goal in overtime Sunday against Earlham… Franciscan graduate student Annie King (Westerville, Ohio | St. Francis DeSales) finished with five goals, two ground balls and two caused turnovers against La Roche Tuesday… Thiel sophomore Ashlyn Wightman (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Shaler) scored a game-high six goals at Oberlin Saturday… She connected on 2-of-4 free position shots and had a game-best 13 draw controls… W&J junior Sarah Labovitz (Great Falls, Va. | The Bullis School) posted a game-high seven draw controls, added seven ground balls and a game-high five caused turnovers against Bethany Tuesday… Waynesburg junior Rachel Caldwell (Ligonier, Pa. | Ligonier Valley) scored six goals on six shots and added two ground balls and a pair of draw controls at Muskingum Wednesday.

 

PAC Rookie of the Week

Sarah Jackson • Grove City • Freshman defender • Brookfield, Conn. | Brookfield Jackson caused a season-high nine turnovers Thursday night in Grove City's 16-15 win over Saint Vincent… She also recorded seven ground balls in the win… Monday, Jackson recorded five ground balls, a caused turnover and a goal in a 10-5 victory at Fredonia State.

Bethany freshman Abbie Carpenter (Kent, Ohio | Kent Roosevelt) finished the week with three assists, five draw controls and six caused turnovers… Franciscan freshman Katheryn Brehm (Sunbury, Ohio | Big Walnut) scored four goals and added an assist Tuesday against La Roche… Thiel freshman Camy Seman (Conneautville, Pa. | Conneaut) recorded two ground balls and two draw controls Saturday at Oberlin… W&J freshman Ella Phillips (Arnold, Md. | Broadneck) recorded five ground balls and four caused turnovers Tuesday against Bethany… She leads W&J with 16 caused turnovers this season… Waynesburg freshman Tori Meiklejohn (Boonsboro, Md. | Boonsboro) had a goal and two assists Wednesday at Muskingum.
