PAC Historical Research / Records Project

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – Over the last few years the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and its Sports Information Directors (SIDs) have been working on producing comprehensive all-time records for each of the league's championship sports.

In dealing with a league that was founded in 1955, simply tracking down and compiling this information continues to prove to be a major endeavor, but an endeavor the SIDs within the conference feel very strongly about. The history and heritage of our conference spans decades, and we look forward to doing all we can to highlight the great efforts of those associated with the PAC over the years.

Clearly, this type of research and analysis is never set in stone; during its early years of its existence, the responsibility of PAC historical record keeping passed from institutional sports information staffs, athletic directors and conference directors. Just gathering the vast amounts of information and developing a strategy to continue building our historical archives has been a massive undertaking.

This process is one that will carry on for months, and likely years, but is a process that the PAC and all of its past, present and future student-athletes, coaches and administrators should be able to engage in.

Understanding that our statistical research in regards to all-time records has been, and will continue to be, a fluid document and a constant work in progress, we hope people can recognize that omissions at this point are not intended to create angst; we want to provide the correct information, and will make any and all updates that are supported by reliable documentation.

If you find missing statistical records, please contact your respective institution's sports information office or email PAC Director of Communications Brian Rose to make us aware of the requested corrections to our published information. Please be prepared to submit credible and reliable documentation to support statistical changes and omissions.

The PAC thanks you for your interest and looks forward to continuing its historical research of this outstanding conference and its tremendous student-athletes.

Notes:
Geneva College and Saint Vincent College statistics will be included from their initial year of provisional NCAA Division III/PAC membership (2007); Westminster College statistics will be included from their initial year of provisional NCAA Division III/PAC membership (2000). For more information on past and present PAC members, please refer to the conference's membership timeline.
