YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO (pacathletics.org) - For the fourth time in program history and first time since 2020, Geneva College captured the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Indoor Track & Field Championship. The meet was held at Youngstown State University's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS).

The Golden Tornadoes, who also won the PAC title in men's cross country in the fall, scored 113 points to finish in front of runner-up Grove City College (94) by 19 points. Westminster College placed third with 87 points, with Hiram College and Washington & Jefferson College tying for fourth place with 60 points. Next was Bethany College in sixth with 54 points, followed by Allegheny College and Saint Vincent College in a tie for seventh (47), Franciscan University in ninth (34), Waynesburg University in 10th (17) and Thiel College (11).

With only two event wins overall, Geneva's team title was largely due to the program's depth, as 16 GTs finished in the top five in their events. The two first places came in the sprints where sophomore Abraham Konneh was the winner in the 60 and 200. Facing a stacked field in the 60, Konneh broke the tape in the final in 6.84 seconds to win by .03 seconds. Later in the 200, the GT sophomore broke the conference record with a winning time of 21.48 seconds.

Headlining Geneva's other top finishers was senior Eli Eisenberger taking second place in both the 5,000 and 3,000.

In addition to the team trophy, Geneva also collected some individual hardware. Konneh, who also ran anchor on Geneva's second-place 4x400 relay, shared the PAC's Most Outstanding Performer in Men's Track with W&J junior Dominic Flitcraft. He matched Konneh with 22 points at Championships after the third-year President scored wins in the 5,000 and 3,000 and ran anchor on W&J's runner-up Distance Medley Relay.

The PAC Championships Men's Track & Field MVP award, as well as Newcomer of the Year, went to Bethany freshman Jason Ellman. He opened the meet by winning the long jump and setting a new PAC record with a mark of 7.27m/23-10.25. Ellman scored the rest of his points on the track, as he pulled in a third place in the 60, a runner-up showing in the 200 and competing on the Bison's eighth-place 4x400 relay.

Another freshman in Grove City first-year EJ Divito earned the PAC's Most Outstanding Performer in the Field. He scored 19 points in three field events, which included a runner-up in the long jump, third place in the triple jump and taking fourth place in the high jump.

Rounding out the major awards was Geneva head coach Phil Thompson earning PAC Coach of the Year for the third time in indoor.

Overall, the meet featured fiev new conference records. In addition to Konneh in the 200 and Ellman in the long jump. a pair of Westminster field athletes put their names in the PAC record books. Titan sophomore Rylan Dye repeated as PAC high jump champion and equaled the conference record by clearing 2.06m/6-9, equaling a mark that has stood since 2014.

Westminster sophomore Reed Yost took down the PAC record in the pole vault with a new standard of 4.75m/15-7.

The final record to fall was in the men's 4x400 relay. Hiram's team of sophomore
