By virtue of their 14-2 record through the conference regular season, Saint Vincent earned home-court advantage throughout the Tournament. The Bearcats posted a 19-6 overall record and will host Westminster College, the four seed from the North Division, in a quarterfinal in Game A. In Game D on Tuesday, Allegheny College, the North Division two seed, will host Bethany College, the three seed from the South Division. When the teams played Jan. 31st in the regular season, Bethany picked up an 88-61 victory over the Gators on the Bison's home floor in West Virginia.
The other half of the bracket features the top seed in the North Division, Grove City College, who posted an 11-5 PAC record, hosting Chatham University, the South Division four seed, in the quarterfinals. Chatham was the winner in the one regular season tilt between the teams, claiming an 84-54 victory in Pittsburgh on Jan. 17.
Washington & Jefferson College, who earned the second seed out of the South Division, is slated to host North Division third seed Geneva College in a Tuesday opening-round contest. The teams played on Jan. 10th at W&J, with the Presidents winning by a 94-66 margin.
Thursday's semifinals will have the Saint Vincent/Westminster winner taking on the winner from Allegheny/Bethany. The other semifinal will pit the winning side from Grove City/Chatham against the team emerging from the W&J/Geneva contest. Information on the semifinal round will be announced following Tuesday's quarterfinals. The semifinal winners will advance to the PAC Championship Game on Saturday, Feb. 28th, which will be broadcast by the PAC Sports Network.
In last year's conference tournament, top-seeded W&J defeated Chatham 59-50 in the championship game.
