The win gives the Wolverines (14-2-4) their 11th overall championship, most in PAC history, and fourth consecutive conference title. It's also Grove City's sixth crown since 2018.
Saint Vincent, who was making their first-ever appearance in the PAC Championship game, finished the year 15-4-1, which tied the program record for single season wins.
PAC Championship – Grove City, Pa.
No. 1 Grove City 4, No. 3 Saint Vincent 0
- Grove City wasted very little time getting on the scoreboard, with senior Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) scoring her 16th goal of the year at the 2:57 mark of the opening half.
- The Stevenson strike was assisted by junior Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and senior Meghan Tischler (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park).
- Saint Vincent recovered and began generating chances, launching three shots and getting a pair of corners in the 13 minutes following the Wolverine goal, but they were unable to put a shot on goal.
- Grove City seized control with a second tally, an unassisted goal by White in the 21st minute, to double the No. 1 seed's advantage to 2-0.
- The Wolverines kept the pressure on the rest of the half, building a 12-5 advantage in shots by the break.
- The lead remained 2-0 at halftime, as Saint Vincent senior keeper Rilyn Warner (Granville, Ohio/Watkins Memorial) made four saves in the first half and one Wolverine shot banged off the crossbar.
- Grove City added another insurance goal in the 75th minute when senior Hannah Plunkard (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) scored off an assist from Stevenson, as she joined White with three points on the night.
- The scoring was closed with six minutes left when a forced turnover put the Wolverines on the attack in transition. Junior Marina Hahn (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) chipped in the goal, with assists from freshman Ava Soley (Butler, Pa./Butler) and senior Hannah Mitchell (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg Christian) to make it 4-0.
- Saint Vincent had two chances to break the shutout in the final few minutes, but SVC senior Emma Koller (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech), who had a team-high three shots in the match, had one hit off the post and the second was stopped by Grove City senior keeper Maddie Mills (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna).
- That final stop by Mills gave her four in the match, as she logged her fifth clean sheet of the year and third in the last five matches.
