PITTSBURGH, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - On Wednesday, Chatham University and Vice President of Athletics and Recreation Leonard Trevino announced the hiring of new Head Men's Lacrosse Coach, Joe Conner.
"I'm excited to announce that Joe Conner has accepted our offer to be the next head coach for our men's lacrosse program," Trevino remarked. "I believe that Coach Conner brings a wealth of experience and energy that will continue to move our program forward."
Conner joins the Cougars after being the head women's lacrosse at Saint Vincent College for the 2025 season and an associate coach on the men's team in 2024.
"I am truly honored to be named the next Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Chatham University," Conner said. "I would like to thank Leonard Trevino, the entire athletic department administration, and the greater community here at Chatham University for this incredible opportunity. I am looking forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to add value to the Men's Lacrosse program here at Chatham, and I am grateful for the foundation that has been laid by all members of the program." I am very confident that we have all the resources and support needed to continue building the program for excellence both on and off the field. My family and I are very excited about this next chapter in our lives, and we cannot wait to get started! Go Cougars!"
Before his time at Saint Vincent, Conner was an associate coach at Dartmouth College where he helped the Big Green increase their win total each season, outside of the 2020 shortened season.
Before Dartmouth, Conner was an assistant coach at Bucknell University where he helped the Bison win their first ever conference title and were ranked as high as #6 nationally.
During his playing career, Conner played for three seasons at Binghamton before transferring and playing one season at Mount Saint Mary's, where he started his coaching career after graduation.
