PAC Track Athlete of the Week Caliyph McClinton • Bethany • Sophomore • Pittsburgh, Pa./Neighborhood Academy McClinton is now in the top 20 nationally in a pair of events after Bethany's home invitational Sunday ... He won the 100 by over half a second with a winning time of 10.49 seconds, which is first in the PAC, second in the Mid-Atlantic Region and ranks 14th in the DIII national rankings ... McClinton also lowered his 200 time, winning by nearly a full second in 21.47 ... In addition to rebreaking his school record, that time is first in the conference, third in the Region and 20th in Division III. It is the top mark in the PAC this season and ranks fifth in the Mid-Atlantic Region. That time is the third-best in the PAC this season and tops by any freshman in the conference. .. It is also the 12th-best time overall and second among freshmen in the Mid-Atlantic region this year. PAC Newcomer Honor Roll Allegheny freshman Cherrieke Bufis (Rochester, N.Y./Vertus Charter); Franciscan freshman Thomas Baillargeon (Bloomingdale, Ohio/Steubenville Catholic Central); Grove City freshman Jeremiah Knowles (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata); Thiel freshman Xavier Jenkins (Baltimore, Md./Wakefield) PAC Records & Milestones Allegheny's Cole Jooste won the 1,500 with a time of 4:06.73, besting the rest of the 56-runner field at the Westminster Invitational ... Franciscan's Thomas Baillargeon set a new school record in the 100 when he placed fourth out of 54 runners in 11.14 seconds and also ran on the Barons' 4x100 relay with Dwayne Gethard, John Sicree and Mark Biagi which broke the program record with a time of 43.39 seconds ... Geneva's Kevin Arseneaux finished ninth overall out of 82 runners and first among DIII competitors in the 1500 at Bucknell with a time of 3:50.61, which is the ninth-best in all of Division III this season and the fastest in the PAC by almost six seconds. ... Grove City's Alex Mitchell won the 400 at Westminster with a time of 47.90 seconds, which ties his own school record, remains first in the PAC this year and ranks 18th nationally ... Mitchell also anchored the 4x400 relay team of Jeremiah Knowles, Gregory Wilson and Isaac Young to a first-place time of 3:26.65, also the fastest in the PAC this spring ... Thiel's Nicholas Kobielus won the javelin at the Westminster Invitational with a top throw of 53.90m/176-10, which ranks second in the PAC this season ... W&J's Dominic Flitcraft raced to a new personal-best time of 30:49.62 in the 10,000 to place ninth at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic, a time which ranks first in the conference thus far. ... Westminster's Jake Mull earned runner-up honors at the Westminster Invitational in the 110-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 15.77 seconds, the top time in the conference this year.
