Grove City Women Leading After 2nd Day at PAC Championships

GROVE CITY, Pa. - Fueled by three first-place finishes, including a pair of relays, Grove City College's women's team has surged into first place following Thursday's action at the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Swimming & Diving Championships.

The Wolverines have 335 points through the second day of championship events, while Saint Vincent College, who has two individual first places and a relay win so far, is in second with 261 points. Westminster College is in third place with 167 points, just in front of Chatham University with 162 points. Rounding out the standings is Allegheny College in fifth place (139), Washington & Jefferson College in sixth (134), Franciscan University in seventh place (121) and Bethany College in eighth (51).

The Championships started Wednesday with two relays and three-meter diving preliminaries. Saint Vincent claimed the first title of the week by taking first in the 200 Medley Relay, as freshman Fallyn Zembiec (Annapolis, Md/Broadneck), sophomore Valerie Clabaugh (Abbottsville, Pa./New Oxford), junior Emma Martz (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and senior Abby Leskovansky (Houtzdale, Pa./Homeschooled) was first to touch in a time of 1:52.31.

The second final on Wednesday was in the 800 Free Relay, which was won by Grove City. The foursome of freshman Ellie Webster (Westfield, Ind./Westfield), senior Sarah Kuchma (Pittsburgh, Pa./North HIlls), freshman Freja Kile (Pttsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and senior Emma Plank (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) were the winners in a time of 7:55.90.

Thursday night's finals session opened with the 500 Freestyle, which was won by Saint Vincent sophomore Rachel Hutchinson (Bryan, Texas/Bryan). She finished in 5:19.48 to secure her second consecutive PAC title in the event. Grove City sophomore Ashley Rauhauser (York, Pa./Homeschooled) would claim the first individual title for her team, as she was the winner in the 200 Individual Medley (2:13.41).

Saint Vincent would pick up its third event win in the 50 Free when Leskovansky placed first in 23.93 seconds to win by nearly half a second. The final swimming event of the night was the 400 Medley Relay and Grove City would come away with that victory. The Wolverines' relay of Rauhauser, freshman Hadleigh McNay (Tucker, Ga./Tucker), senior Mikaela Jenkins (Evansville, Ind./FJ Reitz) and Kuchma posted a time of 3:59.59, more than 12 seconds in front of the runner-up team.

Before the Medley Relay, the three-meter diving competition wrapped up, which saw Chatham senior Ali Cowan (Derry, Pa./Derry Area) score 389.25 to earn the conference title.

The third day of Championships will begin Friday morning at 10 am with the 400 Individual Medley prelims.
