Week 5 PAC Honors (for events between December 1-7)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 5 of the 2025-26 season.
PAC Player of the Week
Katie Kovalchick • Washington & Jefferson • Junior center • Shelocta, Pa./Indiana Area
Kovalchick led the Presidents to a 2-0 week, averaging 21.5 points and six rebounds per game to open conference play ... She shot 56.3 percent from the field (18-for-32), including a perfect 2-for-2 from three-point range, and shooting 83.3 percent from the free throw line ... In the PAC opener against Chatham, a rematch of last year’s conference championship, the junior center paced all scorers with 22 points, five rebounds, three blocks, three assists, and two steals, scoring 16 of her 22 points in the second half to secure the win ... She capped the week with a 21-point performance against Franciscan, adding seven rebounds and two steals.

PAC Newcomer of the Week
Emily Betsinger • Thiel • Freshman center • Indiana, Pa./Indiana
Betsinger averaged 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds during the Tomcats’ opening week of PAC play ... In Wednesday’s thrilling overtime conference opener at home against Hiram, the freshman recorded 10 points, including a perfect 2-for-2 at the foul line, and pulled down eight rebounds ... She followed that with an efficient performance at Westminster, shooting 63 percent from the field while contributing 11 points and five rebounds on Saturday.

Records & Milestones
With her third rebound against Westminster on Wednesday, Sarah Santicola broke the Allegheny record for career rebounds, surpassing Carson Slade '91 (868). Following Saturday's double-double against Geneva, Santicola sits at 883 career rebounds and is only 27 points away from joining the 1,000-Point Club ... Bethany's Ella Simpson scored a career-high 17 points to lead the Bison against Saint Vincent while also recording seven rebounds and three assists ... Geneva's Emily Garvin was the top performer for the Golden Tornadoes in their two games last week, averaging 21.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game across both contests ... Hiram's Maya Joiner posted seven blocks at Thiel, tying second most in a single game in program history ... Westminster's Katie Maryo recorded her second career game posting 20 or more points and 10th career game hitting four or more three-pointers while teammate Bella Calcamuggio scored a season-high 12 points in Saturday's win over Thiel.
