TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – Waynesburg University senior Reagan Mittendorf (Bluffton, Ohio/Bluffton) and Geneva College junior Caleb Romano (Ravena, N.Y./Mount Dora Christian Academy) were named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Scholar-Athletes of the Month for September.
Each month, the SAAC groups at PAC member institutions are asked to nominate one male and one female student-athlete for PAC SAAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month consideration based on academic and athletic accomplishments. Nominees must be varsity team members in their respective sport and in their junior or senior year. Scholar-Athlete of the Month nominees must also have a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and be actively involved within their campus communities
Mittendorf helped the Yellow Jackets’ women’s soccer program to an impressive 7-1-1 start to the season, recording six goals and four assists through the month of September. Her four game-winning goals lead both the team and the PAC during that stretch.
A Forensic Science major with a 3.97 cumulative GPA, Mittendorf has earned Dean’s List honors and recognition on the PAC Academic Honor Roll. She is also a two-time member of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team and is pursuing double minors in Biology and Chemistry.
On campus, Mittendorf is actively involved in numerous academic and service organizations. She is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), participating in outreach events such as homeschool labs and presenting research at ACS conferences. She also serves as a member of the Society of Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP), volunteering annually at their spring conference.
