MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Allegheny College completed a rare feat Friday when the program won the 2023 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship at The Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown, W.Va.

The Gators scored 157 points over the two-day championship meet, to finish in front of runner-up Westminster College, who totaled 141 points. The win gives Allegheny PAC titles in women's cross country, women's indoor track and field and now women's outdoor track and field this year, making the Gators the first PAC school to pull that off since Waynesburg University in 2017-18.

Finishing in third place as a team was Grove City College with 117.67 points, followed by Chatham University in fourth (106), Franciscan University in fifth (44), Geneva College and Washington & Jefferson College tied for sixth (39), Waynesburg in eighth (37.33), Thiel College in ninth (30), Bethany College in 10th (18) and Saint Vincent College (nine).

Senior sprinter Mihaela Toader (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) was at the center of Allegheny's success. Not only did she win both the 200- and 400-meter dashes, Toader set program records during the 100-meter prelims and 200-meter finals. She also ran on the fourth-place 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams, and placed fourth in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump.

Also winning events for Allegheny was senior Megan Aaron (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley), who was first in the 10,000 Thursday night, and sophomore Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) earned the top spot in the shot put.

Following the meet and the conference title, Allegheny's Ben Mourer was voted as the PAC Coach of the Year.

Highlighting the individual performances at the Championships were two Chatham Cougars. Sophomore Aurielle Brunner (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) repeated as the PAC Most Outstanding Field Performer and PAC Most Outstanding Overall Performer after winning the triple jump (11.85m/38-10.50), long jump (5.43m/17-9.75) and high jump (1.55m/5-1). She also ran the anchor leg on the winning 4x400 relay (4:04.03), ran on the second place 4x100 relay (49.62) and placed third in the 100 (12.54).

Earning the PAC Most Outstanding Track Performer was Chatham graduate student Carlee Domke (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum). She won PAC titles in the 100 (15.02) and 400 hurdles (1:06.47), while also running on the winning 4x400 relay and runner-up 4x100 relay. Domke added a fifth place showing in the 200 (26.43) and sixth place in the 100 (12.84).

The PAC Newcomer of the Year award went to Grove City freshman Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan). The first-year Wolverine won the 800 in a conference-record time of 2:16.52 and anchored the 4x400 relay to a third-place finish with a time of 4:07.39.
