TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - The Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be this Thursday-Friday, April 27-28 at the Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown, W.Va.

The 2023 championships will get underway Thursday at 4 p.m. with eight event finals, including men's and women's javelin, men's and women's triple jump and men's and women's pole vault. Preliminaries in the men’s 100 meters and 110-meter hurdles and the women’s 100 meters and 100-meter hurdles will be the first events held on the track. The final events on Thursday evening will be the Women's and then Men's 10,000-meter run.

Thirty event finals are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Friday, starting with men's high jump and shot put and women's long jump and discus in the field. Events on the track begin at 2:15 with the 3,000-meter Steeplechase. The awards ceremony is tentatively planned for 7:45 p.m. Friday evening.

Grove City College will be trying to win its second consecutive PAC women's championship after posting 133 points during last year's two-day, 19-event championship event to narrowly beat Westminster College with 131 points. Wolverines head coach Jessica Smith earned the conference's Coach of the Year after guiding Grove City to its 12th team title in program history.

Among the many all-conference performers back for this year's Championships is Chatham University sophomore Aurielle Brunner (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle). After winning the long jump and triple jump and scoring in the high jump (second), 100 (fifth) and 4x100 relay (fourth), Brunner not only collected the PAC Newcomer of the Year and the league's Most Outstanding Performer in the Field awards, she was also voted the PAC's Overall Most Outstanding Peformer.

The Westminster men, led by five-time PAC Coach of the Year Tim McNeil, will be looking to repeat after winning the 2022 title, their fifth in program history, after scoring 151 points to edge out runner-up Grove City by just two points. Returning to lead the Titans is senior Jacob Patton (Harrisville, Pa./Moniteau), who was last year's PAC Overall Most Outstanding Performer. He won the 110 and 400 hurdles, ran legs on the winniner 4x100 and 4x400 relays and placed in the pole vault (second), javelin (fourth) and triple jump (fifth).

Also back to highlight this year's field is Washington & Jefferson College junior Nate Sciarro (Beaver Falls, Pa./Riverside), the 2022 PAC Most Outstanding Performer in the Field after he won the high jump and long jump, and Geneva College sophomore Kevin Arseneaux (Yarmouth Port, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth Regional), the 2022 PAC Newcomer of the Year after he posted runner-up finishes in the 800 and 1500 and was third in the 5000.

This year's top seeds are listed below and can also be viewed on the PAC Women's Performance List and PAC Men's Performance List.

K&J Timing (Wheeling, W.Va.) will be providing the meet management, timing and officiating services.
