Week 5 PAC Honors (for events between April 10-16)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 5 of the 2023 season.
 
PAC Track Athlete of the Week
Stephen Cullinan • Allegheny • Senior • Bel Air, Md./Bel Air 
Cullinan finished with the PAC-leading and 12th-highest NCAA Division III point total in the decathlon this season at the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell ...His 6,122 points are also the second-most points in program history, as he is only the second Gator ever to surpass 6,000 points … Had PRs in all of the track events, including the 100 (11.52 seconds), 400 (51.41), 110 hurdles (17.53) and 1500 (4:44.93) … Cullinan placed fourth in the 400, shot put (11.83m/38-9.75) and javelin (38.92m/127-8) and was sixth out of 12 in the orange decathlon (was the only D-III athlete in his group).

Bethany senior Qujuan McGlothin (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) finished fifth in the 200 with a time of 23.24 and finished 14th in the 100 (11.58) ...Chatham graduate student Brandon Romell (Milan, Ohio/Edison) broke the school 800 record at the Thiel Invitational with a time of 2:02.77 and was on the third place 4x400 relay team that broke their own school record (3:34.72) … Franciscan senior Ryan Ozymy (Ennis, Texas/Avalon) broke the school record in the 800 in 1:53.79 (second in PAC this spring) at Bucknell, beating the record set by All-American Bill Jones in 2013 … Geneva sophomore Kevin Arseneaux (Yarmouth Port, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth Regional) broke the school record in the 1500 at Bucknell on Saturday, finishing in 3:49.44, the fastest time in the PAC this season and the 17th fastest time in NCAA Division III this season … Grove City sophomore Alex Hemmerlin (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) won the steeplechase Saturday at Thiel with a time of 10:06.26 (fourth in PAC this spring) … Saint Vincent junior Tim Patterson (Butler, Pa./Butler) turned in a time of 15:01.70 in the 5K at Bucknell, the fastest time by a PAC runner this season, and then took second overall in the mile run in an SVC outdoor record time of 4:20.89 … Thiel senior Brock Newsome (Clyde, Ohio/Clyde) placed third in the 1,500 at the Thiel Invitational with a time of 4:08.11 (eighth in the PAC) and then placed seventh in the 800 (2:01.91) … W&J sophomore Julian Paul (Pittsburgh, Pa./ Montour) posted a new school-record time of 1:54.72 (fourth in PAC) in the 800 at the Bucknell Bison Classic, set a new PR of 4:03.52 in the 1500 (fifth in PAC) and ran on the 4x400 relay team that finished in 3:28.37 (second in PAC) … Waynesburg junior Isaiah Mathews (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) was third in the 100 at the Thiel Invitational, but set a new school record in the event of 10.82 seconds, which is second in PAC, and earned a second bronze medal in the sprints after finishing the 200 in 22.80 … Westminster junior Anthony Kamenski (Chicora, Pa./Karns City) won the 400 hurdles at Thiel's Tomcat Invitational in 54.55 seconds, which ranks second in the PAC and 28th in Division III, and also finished fourth in the 110 hurdles (15.61).
 
PAC Field Athlete of the Week
Jacob Boord • Allegheny • Junior • Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield    
Boord broke his own school record in the javelin at the Bison Outdoor Classic … He finished fourth overall and now ranks fourth in the nation after a best mark of 64.71 meters/212-4 at the meet ...Not only is he the first Gator to surpass 64 meters in program history, he did so on each of his last two attempts.

Bethany senior Tim Mickens (Ocala, Fla./North Marion) finished ninth at Thiel in the shot put with a throw of 12.26m/40-2.75 … Chatham junior Brent Clutter (Washington, Pa./Trinity) broke a school record in every event he participated in at Thiel Saturday, highlighted by second place in the javelin (56.06m/183-11, also second in PAC this year), and included records in the shot put (11.88m/38-11.75), 100 (11.75) and 4x400m relay (3:34.72) … Geneva junior Noah Foust (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) finished second in the discus (42.16m/138-4) and fourth in the shot put (13.84m/45-5) at the Thiel Invitational ...Grove City senior James Parenti (Hilliards, Pa./Moniteau) won the discus Saturday at Thiel with a best toss of 143 feet and finished fifth in the shot put with a season-best effort of 42-11 ¾ … Thiel graduate student Andre Williams (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Boyd H. Anderson) finished first at the Tomcat Invitational in the triple jump with a personal best mark of 14.11m/46-3.5, which is the 26th best mark in all of Division III this season, and then placed fifth in the long jump (6.48m/21-3.25) … Waynesburg sophomore Isaac Huey (Klymer, Pa./Purchase Line) placed seventh in the javelin at Saturday's Thiel Tomcat Invitational with a toss of 49.52m/162-6.
   
PAC Rookie of the Week
Alex Mitchell • Grove City • Freshman • Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian    
Mitchell reset the PAC-best time this season while winning the 400 at Thiel and also took second in the 200 Saturday … His time of 48.70 in the 400 clipped .22 seconds off his previous best this season … Mitchell also placed second in the 200 in 22.41, which is third-best this spring in the conference … Both his 400 and 200 times rank second all-time at Grove City.

Allegheny freshman Caleb Freeman (Killingworth, Conn./Haddam-Killingworth) finished third in the 5K at the Thiel Invitational with a PR time of 16:22.10 … Geneva senior Jack Garvin (Northumberland, Pa./Northumberland Christian) won the high jump at Thiel on Saturday, clearing 1.90m/6-2.75, and placed 13th in the 100 (11.54) … W&J freshman Anthony Cestaro III (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers) logged a new PR time of 11.12 in the 100 at Thiel, which is third in the PAC this season, posted a PR time of 22.37 in the 200, which ranks second in the PAC, and also ran leadoff on the 4x400 relay who ran to a time of 3:28.37, second-fastest in the PAC this year … Waynesburg freshman Tyriek Williams (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) placed fifth in the 110 hurdles in 15.74 seconds at Saturday's Thiel Invitational and posted the ninth-place time (11.40) in the preliminary round of the 100.
