The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 2 of the 2023 season.
 
PAC Hitter of the Week
Ella Brookman • Waynesburg • Junior infield/pitcher • Washington, Pa./Chartiers-Houston
Brookman helped Waynesburg go 5-1 in their six games in Myrtle Beach by batting .579 (11-19) with seven extra-base hits, seven RBIs and seven runs scored … Her biggest performance was in the Penn State-Abington win when she was 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs scored and four runs knocked in … She had two hits in three other games, including 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in victory over Eastern Nazarene … Her week finished with a 1.105 slugging percentage and .600 on-base percentage as well.

Allegheny sophomore Sophia Godzak (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) batted .346 last week with six runs scored, highlighted by two doubles and three runs scored in win over Simmons … Graduate student Sarah Johnson (Highland Ranch, Calif./Mountain Vista) hit .400 (14-35) in the opening week for Geneva with eight runs, eight steals and five RBIs … Grove City senior Janessa Dawson (Zanesville, Ohio/Tri-Valley) clubbed four doubles and knocked in nine runs while posting eight multi-hit games and a .553 (21-38) average in the 10-game Florida trip … Saint Vincent sophomore Allie Prady (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) hit safely in five of six games last week, batting .412 (7-17) with three RBIs and two runs scored … Thiel senior Kylee Yothers (Indian Head, Pa./Connellsville) had five multi-hit games with five RBIs and three doubles while putting up a .571 average (12-21) in six games last week … Westminster senior Ashley Wire (Poland, Ohio/Poland Seminary) was 4-for-4 with two RBis and a run scored in a win over Washington College Sunday.
   
PAC Pitcher of the Week
Haley Smith • Geneva • Senior • Joshua Tree, Calif./Yucca Valley    
Smith went 3-0 in her three starts with two complete-game shutouts in Geneva’s opening week in Florida … She blanked Monmouth on one hit while striking out five in a 1-0 victory for Geneva’s first win on the southern trip … In her next start, a 7-1 win over Penn State Behrend, Smith surrendered just one run on three hits while striking out six in six innings … In her final Florida start, she shut out Elizabethtown, scattering five hits over seven frames and striking out five in a 6-0 triumph.

Allegheny sophomore Aleya Belardinelli (Melbourne, Fla./West Shore) went 3-0 with a 1.88 ERA, highlighted by 13 Ks in a one-hit shutout against Bluffton, on the Gators’ trip to Florida … Grove City junior Kaitlyn Constantino (Clarion, Pa./Clarion) went 2-3 with 23 strikeouts and a 2.96 ERA over five appearances last week … Thiel junior Kayla Roddy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) went 2-1 last week, threw eight frames to earn victories over King’s and Eastern Nazarene, and struck out 15 in 22 innings worked … Waynesburg sophomore Sydney Wilson (Pentress, W.Va./Clay-Battelle) went 3-0 over five appearances, posting a 1.81 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 19 1/3 innings of work … Westminster graduate student Madison Brown (Lisbon, Ohio/East Liverpool) allowed one run on five hits with eight strikeouts in Sunday’s win over New England.
 
PAC Rookie of the Week
Samantha Phillips • Allegheny • Freshman outfielder • Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon    
Phillips hit safely in all seven games last week, as she posted a batting average of .550 (11-20) and on-base percentage of .625 for the Gators … Her week began by going 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs in a win over Simmons … Phillips also posted two hits, as well as two walks, and drove in two in victory over Concordia-Chicago and had two hits and two RBIs in win over Dominican.

Grove City freshman Miranda Metro (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) went 0-1 with a 0.00 ERA and five Ks in 8 2/3 innings of work in four appearances last week … Saint Vincent freshman Kylie Meek (Holbrook, Pa./West Greene) earned the win after throwing 8.0 shutout innings and scattering six hits in a 1-0 extra-inning victory over Wheaton (Ill.) … Thiel freshman Kylie Heid (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) batted .500 (5-10) with four runs, two stolen bases and a triple in three games last week … Waynesburg freshman Autumn Stemple (Morgantown, W.Va./University) went 1-1 over three starts and piled up 22 strikeouts over 12 2/3 innings pitched last week.
