Week 7 PAC Honors (for events between February 13-19)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 7 of the 2022-23 season.
 
PAC Track Athlete of the Week
Ryan Beard • Westminster • Senior • Murrysville, Pa. | Franklin Regional
Beard posted three PAC top-three times while competing at Akron's Al Campbell Invitational Friday … He recorded a seventh-place finish in the 200 with an indoor personal-best time of 22.44 seconds, which ranks second on the PAC Performance List this winter ... In addition, Beard ran to a 13th-place finish in the 60 with a time of 7.14, which also currently ranks second in the league ... He finished the meet by running the second leg of Westminster's third-place 4x400-meter relay to help it finish with a time of 3:28.23, which currently stands as the conference’s third-fastest time.

Bethany senior Qujuan McGlothin (Cleveland, Ohio | Cleveland Central Catholic) had two second-place finishes at the Muskingum Meet, as he finished the 200 with a time of 23.71 and the 60 in 7.26 … Franciscan senior David Cappello (Orchard Park, N.Y. | Orchard Park) set a new Franciscan, as well as Muskingum facility record, in the 800, completing the race in a time of 1:53.94 (1:52.34 adjusted) to break his teammate Ryan Ozymy's record by nearly three seconds and set the fastest time in the event in the PAC this season … W&J junior Ian Baughman (Oxford, Pa. | Oxford Area) won the 60 hurdles with a top time of 8.68 Friday at Muskingum and ran on W&J's winning Distance Medley Relay (12:45.19), which currently ranks best in the PAC and 32nd in NCAA D-III.
 
PAC Field Athlete of the Week
Jacob King • Allegheny • Senior • Latrobe, Pa. | Greater Latrobe   
King had a pair of top-five finishes at Case Western Reserve’s Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invite … He won the weight throw at 15.43 meters (50-7.5), just 0.03 shy of his PR from Mount Union on 2/4/23 … King would also place fifth in the shot put with a season-best mark of 12.88 meters (42-3.25), which is tied for eighth-best in the conference this season.

Franciscan freshman Nicholas Brass (Byron, Ill. | Byron) improved upon his own school record in the shot put at the Muskingum Meet with a best throw of 13.31m (43-8), which ranks him fifth in the PAC this season … Geneva junior Noah Foust (Shippensburg, Pa. | Shippensburg) finished third in the shot put at the Muskingum Meet with a best mark of 13.74 meters (45-1), which rates as the third-best of the winter in the PAC, and also earned a fifth in the weight throw at 13.83 meters (45-4.5) … Junior Nick Gustafson (Newburg, Pa./Shippensburg) led Grove City's field contingent at Mount Union by taking fourth overall in the shot put with a best effort of 50 feet, 9.5 inches to rank first among Division III throwers at the meet … Thiel senior Caleb Learn (Homer City, Pa. | Homer Center) recorded two top-ten finishes at the Mount Union Tune-Up, placing eighth in the high jump by clearing 1.74 meters (5-8.5) and taking 10th in the long jump with a distance of 6.14 meters (20-1.75).
    
PAC Rookie of the Week
Alex Mitchell • Grove City • Freshman • Hummelstown, Pa. | Harrisburg Christian   
Mitchell repeats as Rookie of the Week after a pair of top five finishes at Saturday’s Mount Union Raider Tune-Up … He was the winner in the 400 by breaking the tape in 51.18 seconds … Mitchell also earned fifth in the 200, posting a time of 23.23 seconds.

Allegheny freshman Levi Swartz (Greenville, Pa. | Greenville) ran two PRs at Case Western Reserve’s Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invite, coming in at 7.45 seconds in the 60-meter dash prelims and placing 12th in the 200 (24.55) ...Bethany freshman Rondi Knowles Tener (Carrollton, G. | Central) earned fourth place in the long jump at Muskingum with a best jump of 5.79m (19-0) … Geneva freshman Karter Reath (Fayetteville, Pa. | Chambersburg) won the 3000 at Muskingum on Friday with a time of 9:31.72 … Thiel freshman Tyrese Ogletree (West Mifflin, Pa. | West Mifflin) was a part of the men’s distance medley relay (DMR) that set a school record with a time of 10:56.82 and also finished 21st in the men’s 200 (24.68) … W&J freshman Anthony Cestaro III (Memphis, Tenn. | Christian Brothers) captured the top spot Friday in the 400 at Muskingum with a personal-best time of 51.54.
