The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 7 of the 2022 season.
 
PAC Hitter of the Week
James Diamond • Westminster • Senior first base • Moon Township, Pa. | Moon
Diamond hit .417 (10-24) with a double, a triple, three home runs, eight RBIs and six runs scored during Westminster’s 5-1 week… In Saturday’s 14-4 game two win at Franciscan, he went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs, three RBIs and two runs scored… Diamond finished the week with a .440 on-base percentage and slugged .917… In 16 games (16 starts) this season he is hitting .377 with four doubles, a triple, three home runs and 16 RBIs.

Bethany senior Cameron Schaub (McDonald, Pa. | Fort Cherry) hit .267 with a home run, six RBIs and three runs scored last week… Franciscan junior Brendan Burke (Pinckney, Mich. | Detroit Central Catholic) hit .438 with two doubles, a triple, four RBIs and a pair of runs scored last week… Sunday at Westminster he went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, four RBIs and a run scored… Burke is hitting a PAC-best .446 this season… Grove City sophomore Lucca Baccari (Irwin, Pa. | Penn-Trafford) hit .538 with three doubles, five RBIs and three runs scored last week… He now has a nine-game hitting streak, raising his batting average from .214 to .366 in that span… Thiel sophomore Nick Jacobs (New Castle, Pa. | Union) hit .417 with three doubles, a triple, seven RBIs and three runs scored last week… W&J sophomore Joe Lehner (Painesville, Ohio | Lake Catholic) hit .450 with three doubles, a home run, three RBIs and eight runs scored… Waynesburg freshman Todd Burner (Parkersburg, W.Va. | Parkersburg South) hit .429 with a double, a triple, two home runs, seven RBIs and four runs scored last week… His four home runs this season are tied for the league lead.
   
PAC Pitcher of the Week
Tyler Horvat • Washington & Jefferson • Junior • Irwin, Pa. | Penn-Trafford    
Horvat went 2-0 and totaled 15.0 scoreless innings in a pair of starts last week for W&J… The junior righty allowed just two hits and struck out four over 6.0 innings in Tuesday’s 9-2 game two win against Chatham… Horvat recorded a shutout Saturday in W&J’s 6-0 game two win against Bethany… He struck out five and allowed four hits in his 9.0 innings of work against the Bison… Horvat limited the opposition to a .125 batting average and did not issue a walk last week.

Bethany junior Mark Lavezza (Bridgeport, W.Va. | Bridgeport) improved to 4-0 this season with Tuesday’s game one win over Franciscan… He allowed two runs (1 earned) on four hits with two strikeouts and two walks in the complete game victory… Geneva junior Jarrett Orbin (New Springfield, Ohio | New Springfield) earned the game one victory Saturday against Thiel, throwing 6.0 innings and allowing one run (1 earned) on three hits… Grove City senior Tate Ostrowski (Essex, Mass. | Covenant Christian) posted a 1.23 ERA in two games last week… He earned the save in game one Saturday against Waynesburg… Ostrowski threw a complete game Tuesday in the opener at Westminster, allowing two runs (1 earned)... Saint Vincent senior Justin Wright (Greensburg, Pa. | Hempfield) threw 9.1 scoreless innings in two appearances last week… Wednesday at W&J, he retired all three batters he faced in 1.0 inning of relief… Saturday against Chatham, Wright worked 8.1 innings and allowed one run (0 earned) on eight hits with five strikeouts and two walks… Thiel junior Travis Harvey (Boardman, Ohio | Boardman) earned the game one win Wednesday at Waynesburg… He tossed 6.0 innings and allowed three runs (2 earned) on seven hits with three strikeouts and a walk… Harvey also pitched 1.0 inning of relief and allowed an unearned run to close out Saturday’s game two win at Geneva… Westminster sophomore Timothy Lewis (Southwest Harbor, Maine | Wilmington) was 1-0 with a complete game in a pair of starts last week… He allowed one run (0 earned) on four hits with a career-high seven strikeouts and a walk in Tuesday’s game one win over Grove City.  
 
PAC Rookie of the Week
Scout Zaas • Washington & Jefferson • Freshman designated hitter • Powell, Ohio | Wellington School     
Zaas hit .500 (6-12) with two doubles, a home run, six RBIs and two runs scored last week in four starts for W&J… The freshman compiled a .917 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage… Zaas slugged his third home run of the season during W&J's 17-5 win at Bethany Sunday afternoon… In 15 games (10 starts) this season he is hitting .297 (11-37) with four doubles, three home runs, 12 RBIs and eight runs scored.

Franciscan freshman Wade Stoehr (Lewisville, Ohio | Monroe Central) hit .389 with a double, two home runs, seven RBIs and six runs scored last week… Grove City freshman Nico Rodriguez (Stafford, Va. | Mountain View) hit .538 last week with four doubles, four RBIs and five runs scored… He highlighted the week by going 3-for-4 with two doubles, four RBIs and three runs in game two Saturday at Waynesburg… Thiel freshman Ethan Bintrim (New Castle, Pa. | Shenango) hit .294 with two doubles, six RBIs and five runs scored last week… Waynesburg freshman Alec Engelmore (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Shaler) earned his first collegiate victory Wednesday against Thiel, allowing one hit with three strikeouts and two walks in 4.2 relief innings… He also hit .267 with three doubles, two RBIs and two runs… Westminster first-year Jake Vitale (New Castle, Pa. | Union) earned his first career victory Wednesday against Chatham… He threw 8.0 shutout innings and allowed four hits with six strikeouts.
