TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - Washington & Jefferson College senior Josh Dezenzo (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) and Westminster College senior Josh Reed (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) have been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for games covering March 23-29.
The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its fifteenth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the seventh Team of the Week of the 2026 season.
This recognition is added to other weekly awards for both players, as Dezenzo was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Hitter of the Week and Reed earned PAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
Dezenzo propelled the Presidents to another undefeated week, going 4-0 with conference sweeps against Thiel College and Waynesburg University. Dezenzo finished the week batting 10-for-15 (.667) on the week with nine runs scored, four RBI, four doubles and two homers. He reached base at a .750 clip, compiled a 1.333 slugging percentage and totaled 20 bases. Named as a DH to the D3baseball.com team, Dezenzo went 6-for-7 (.857) against Waynesburg, bashing two doubles in game one and two homers with three RBI in game two and crossed home plate five times overall in the twinbill.
Reed highlighted Sunday's PAC sweep of Saint Vincent College by firing a one-hit shutout with a career-high seven strikeouts in the 6-0 game two victory. Reed allowed two base runners all game and retired 14 straight batters after a first-inning, one-out single and finished the game retiring 12 straight. The 103-pitch outing was Reed's second win this season.
This marks the first time the PAC had multiple players on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week since week 12 of the 2024 season when Nick Guidas from Grove City and Dawson Thomas from Allegheny were recognized.
