PAC Track Athlete of the Week
Isaiah Mathews • Waynesburg • Junior • Pittsburgh, Pa. | Montour
Mathews set new school records in both the 60 and 200 meters at the YSU Icebreaker … He became the first Yellow Jacket to crack seven seconds in the 60 after running his preliminary round race in 6.99 seconds … Mathews followed by completing the 200 in 22.74 seconds, good for 16th place out of 79 runners.

Franciscan senior David Cappello (Orchard Park, N.Y. | Orchard Park) won the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:44.68 to beat the field by nearly 30 seconds at the Mount Union Toy Drive Invite and then ran a 51:15 in the 400 to take fourth (50.35 converted time) … Geneva freshman Eli Eisenberger (York, Pa. | Central York) finished in 13th place in the 5000-meter race at the Youngstown State Icebreaker with a time of 16:20.35 … Thiel senior Quintin Weaver (Rimersburg, Pa. | Union) finished 24th with a time of 17:24.24 in the men’s 5,000m run Friday at the YSU Icebreaker … W&J junior Ian Baughman (Oxford, Pa. | Oxford Area) produced a pair of lifetime bests at YSU Icebreaker, as he turned in a career-best time of 8.60 in the 60-meter hurdles, a time which is second best in program history, and logged a career-best time of 51.96 in the 400 meters … Westminster senior Jacob Patton (Harrisville, Pa. | Moniteau) finished 18th in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles (8.67) at the Youngstown State Icebreaker.
 
PAC Field Athlete of the Week
Stephen Cullinan • Allegheny • Senior • Bel Air, Md. | Bel Air   
Cullinan won the heptathlon with 4,376 points at the Green & Red Multi over the weekend while competing against a field of Division II athletes from Slippery Rock … Either won or PR'd in every event, and finished no worse than third in any event … Was first in the shot put (10.83m/35-5), high jump (1.84m/6-0.75), pole vault (4.05m/13-3), and 1,000-meter race (2:57.38) … Set PRs in the high jump, long jump (6.28m/20-7), 60-meter dash (7.42 seconds), and the 60-meter hurdles (9.35 seconds).

Geneva junior Noah Foust (Shippensburg, Pa. | Shippensburg) placed 19th in the weight throw, with a toss of 13.69 meters (44-10), and 21st in the shot put (12.46 meters/40-10.5) at the Youngstown State Icebreaker … Grove City junior Nick Gustafson (Newburg, Pa. | Shippensburg) finished ninth overall and first among Division III competitors in the shot put with a Grove City-record effort of 49 feet, 9 3/4 inches. … W&J junior Nate Sciarro (Beaver Falls, Pa. | Riverside) finished 14th in the Long Jump at YSU Icebreaker with a mark of 6.74 (22-1.5) … Waynesburg sophomore Garrett Hilliard (Greenville, Pa. | Greenville) paced Waynesburg in the field events by finishing 28th in the shot put at the YSU Icebreaker, with his top toss sailing 11.98 meters (39-3.65) … Friday at the YSU Icebreaker, Westminster senior Hunter Linhart (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Plum) was 18th in the shot put with a throw of 12.75 meters (41-10).
   
PAC Rookie of the Week
Alex Mitchell • Grove City • Freshman • Hummelstown, Pa. | Harrisburg Christian    
Mitchell recorded Grove City's top individual finish at the YSU Icebreaker, as he finished seventh overall and seventh among DIII runners in the 400 meters with a time of 49.95 seconds, the second-fastest time in program history … Mitchell also posted a program-best time of 22.65 seconds in the 200 to take 15th overall and second among Division III entrants. .

Allegheny freshman Orion Greico (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) made his collegiate debut running the 60- (7.96 seconds) and 200-meter dashes (25.70) at the YSU Icebreaker … Franciscan freshman John Sicree (State College, Pa. | Homeschool) made his collegiate debut in the 60m hurdles and placed fourth with a time of 9.29 seconds … Geneva freshman Aiden Rorick (Beaver Falls, Pa. | Homeschool) finished sixth in the High Jump at the Youngstown State Icebreaker, clearing a height of 1.85 meters (6-0.75) in his first collegiate competition … Thiel freshman Tristan Mylnarek (Delta, Ohio | Delta) finished 44th with a time of 5:29.71 in the men’s one-mile run at the YSU Icebreaker … W&J freshman Raine Gratzmiller (Butler, Pa./ | Butler) was fourth in the 1000 (2:47.55) and sixth (4:48.02) in the Mile Run Saturday at Case Western Reserve and added a fifth place finish on the W&J 4x400 Relay … Westminster Michael Hvizdak (Aliquippa, Pa. | Hopewell) was 20th in the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.96 meters (35-11.5) Friday at the Youngstown State Icebreaker
