The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 7 of the 2022-23 season.
 

PAC Women's Swimmer/Diver of the Week

Erica Steele • Saint Vincent • Senior • Greensburg, Pa. | Greensburg Salem Steele won three races in the Bearcats' victory over Washington & Jefferson … Steele opened her afternoon with a first-place finish in the 100 back in 1:05.82, before posting a 26-second win in the 500 free in a time of 5:37.88 … She then earned her third victory of the day in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:19.14, as the Bearcats improved to 3-1 in the PAC. .

Other notable performers

Grove City senior Rachael Wallace (Hopewell, Pa. | Hopewell) posted Grove City's top finish at the rugged Calvin Winter Classic as she took second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2 minutes, 6.47 seconds … She also took eighth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.18 seconds. while contributing to an 11th place finish in the 400 free relay (3:36.34), and 12th in the 200 (1:48.93) and 400 (4:01.36) medley relays … Westminster sophomore Christina Loewe (Austin, Texas | Veritas Academy) posted a pair of top-five individual finishes at last weekend's Wooster Invitational... She finished fourth in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2 minutes, 09.38 seconds and was fifth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.55 ... Loewe also swam the second leg of Westminster's eighth-place 800 freestyle relay (8:26.98)

 

PAC Women's Rookie of the Week

Emma Martz • Saint Vincent • Freshman • Greensburg, Pa. | Hempfield        Martz placed first in the 50 freestyle in 25.86 seconds in Saint Vincent’s win over W&J Saturday … She also took second in the 200 IM in 2:19.80, just a half second out of first; and swam the second leg of the 200 freestyle relay in 26.86 seconds to help the Bearcats to a winning time of 1:44.68.

Other notable performers

Grove City freshman Annika Albright (Murrysville, Pa. | Franklin Regional) placed eighth in the 200 butterfly (2:14.98) at the Calvin Winter Classic ... She also helped Grove City take 11th in the 800 free relay with a time of 8:13.31 … Westminster first-year Alexa Young (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Mount Lebanon) claimed a third-place finish in the 1-meter diving competition at last weekend's Wooster Invitational ... She totaled 283.95 points on the 1-meter board ... The six-dive score currently ranks second in the league.
