The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 4 of the 2022-23 season.
 

PAC Women's Swimmer/Diver of the Week

Rachael Wallace • Grove City • Senior • Hopewell, Pa. | Hopewell Wallace helped Grove City earn a split of Saturday's double dual meet by sweeping the butterfly events against host SUNY Geneseo  and Fredonia State… She won the 100 fly in a time of 59.42 seconds and posted a victorious time of 2:12.99 in the 200 butterfly… Wallace also led off the third-place 200 freestyle relay (1:43.18) and swam butterfly on the third-place 200 medley relay (1:55.11).

Other notable performers

Allegheny senior Jenna Halenda (Mars, Pa. | Mars) won the 500 (5:51.84) and was second in the 200 freestyle (2:06.05) at Edinboro… She also swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay (1:43.47)... Bethany sophomore Jordan Haslacker (August, W.Va. | Hampshire) won the 100 freestyle (1:04.12) and was third in the 200 freestyle (2:29.31) against Francisccan… Chatham sophomore Ali Cowan (Derry, Pa. | Derry) was the runner-up in the 1-meter dive at IUP’s Ralph Johnson Invitational with a score of 378.35 in the 11-dive program… Franciscan sophomore Kristen Farabaugh (Charlottesville, Va. | Albemarle) won the 100 breaststroke (1:17.75) and was second in the 200 IM (2:37.41) against Bethany... She swam breaststroke on the winning 200 medley relay (2:05.78) and anchored the winning 400 freestyle relay (4:18.37)... W&J junior Molly Nielsen (Erie, Pa. | Harbor Creek) was second in the 200 freestyle (2:03.44) and third in the 100 freestyle (57.69) at IUP’s Ralph Johnson Invitational.

 

PAC Women's Rookie of the Week

Josephine Reiter • Allegheny • Freshman • Pittsburgh, Pa. | Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts     Reiter swam to a first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1 minute, 11.19 seconds in Saturday’s dual meet at Edinboro… She also swam breaststroke on Allegheny’s second-place 200 medley relay (1:53.61).

Other notable performers

Bethany freshman Aeriale Knopsnider (Normalville, Pa. | Connellsville) won the 200 backstroke (2:37.47) and was second in the 100 backstroke (1:13.28) against Franciscan… Franciscan freshman Kate Kinst (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Fox Chapel) swam to first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle (2:10.19) and 500 (5:49.06) against Bethany… Grove City freshman Paige Doleno (Monongahela, Pa. | Ringgold) was second in the 200 breaststroke (2:40.39) against SUNY Geneseo and Fredonia State.
