GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org)--The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its All-PAC women's soccer teams and yearly award winners Friday morning. The league's 11 head coaches determined, by vote, this year's All-PAC teams and annual award winners.

Franciscan University sophomore forward Tania Davidson (Gilbert, Ariz. | Arete Preparatory Academy) was named the PAC Player of the Year, while Westminster College first-year goalkeeper Morgan Murphy (Yardley, Pa. | Villa Joseph Marie) claimed the PAC Newcomer of the Year award. Franciscan third-year head coach Sarah Salamida was selected as the PAC Coach of the Year.

Davidson is Franciscan's first-ever PAC Player of the Year.

A two-time First Team All-PAC selection, Davidson made starts in each of Franciscan's 19 matches this season. Her 20 goals lead the PAC while her 42 points (20G, 2A) are tied for the most in the league. She has five-game winning goals to her credit this fall, tied for the most among conference players. In 10 PAC starts Davidson paced the conference with 11 goals and 24 points (11G, 2A).

Davidson is currently tied for 11th in total goals scored (20) in NCAA Division III. Her 42 total points are tied for 21st in Division III.

Davidson netted both goals in Franciscan's 2-0 regular season victory at Westminster on October 5. She scored two goals in seven matches this season, including a 4-1 semifinal victory over Grove City College on November 2.

In 34 career appearances (33) starts, Davidson has totaled 64 points on 30 goals and four assists.

Murphy started all 19 matches for Westminster this season, going 14-3-2 while posting a league-low 0.56 goals-against average. She has totaled 82 saves and owns an .891 save percentage, which ranks 14th in Division III. In 10 regular season conference starts Murphy went 9-1 with a 0.44 goals-against average.

Murphy led the PAC with seven shutouts this fall, including four in league play.

Murphy was named the championship tournament's Most Outstanding Player following Westminster's 2-0 shutout of Franciscan in the title match on November 5. She made 12 saves against Franciscan after recording seven saves and stopping three attempts in the shootout during the 1-1 semifinal draw with Chatham on Nov. 2.

Salamida led Franciscan to a 12-5-2 overall record and a 7-1-2 conference mark this season. Franciscan entered the championship tournament as the No. 2 seed, just the second all-time tournament appearance for the program after claiming the fourth seed during the spring 2021 championship.

As the winner of this year's championship tournament, Westminster also received the conference's automatic qualifying bid to the Division III Championship. The PAC is one of 44 conferences granted automatic qualification (Pool A) to the Division III Championship. Westminster is scheduled to play eighth-ranked Amherst College Saturday at 1 p.m. at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). This is Westminster's sixth all-time appearance in the Division III Championship.
