Week 4 PAC Honors (for events between January 17-23)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 4 of the 2021-22 season.
 
PAC Track Athlete of the Week
Michaela Rose • Waynesburg • Sophomore • Sandy Lake, Pa. | Lakeview
Rose registered a third-place finish in the 200 with a time of 27.42 seconds and fourth-place finish in the 55 with a time of 7.58 at Marietta’s Pioneer Invitational Saturday… Both times established new school records and were the best efforts by a NCAA Division III competitor in those respective events… Rose’s time in the 200 tops the league’s performance list, while her 60 converted time (8.17) is No. 2 in the PAC.

Geneva senior Katryn Gatchell (Red Lion, Pa. | Red Lion) finished eighth in the 800 (2:24.00, adj. 2:25.66) at Youngstown State… It’s the top time in the league this season… Saint Vincent senior Sydney Green (Greensburg, Pa. | Greater Latrobe) was the runner-up in the 800 (2:30.10) at Marietta… W&J junior Bre Trusler (Daisytown, Pa. | California) finished third in the 300 (45.63), fourth in the 400 (1:05.87) and anchored the second-place 4x400 relay (4:34.37)... Westminster junior Sadie Cunningham (Webster, N.Y. | Webster Thomas) was 12th in the 5,000 (21:00.91, adj. 21:10.62) at Youngstown State.   
 
PAC Field Athlete of the Week
Megan Parker • Westminster • Senior • Mercer, Pa. | Mercer    
Parker secured a pair of top-11 finishes at Youngstown State’s Collegiate Invitational Friday… She was 10th in the shot put with a throw of 40 feet, 08.25 inches (12.40m) and 11th in the weight throw with a mark of 48-07.25 (14.81m)... Parker’s effort in the weight throw tops the PAC’s performance list and ranks 45th in NCAA Division III… Her throw in the shot put is No. 2 in the league and 34th in Division III.

Bethany sophomore Lynn Burton (Columbus, Ohio | Westerville North) was 11th in the shot put (32-04.75, 9.87m) at Marietta… Chatham graduate student Alexia Page-Boyd (Girard, Ohio | Girard) was seventh in the weight throw (41-01.70, 12.54m) and 24th in the shot put (29-00.00, 8.84m) at Marietta… Waynesburg junior Kat Henderson (Hundred, W.Va. | Hundred) was the runner-up in the long jump (16-00.25, 4.88m) and finished ninth in the high jump (4-11, 1.50m) at Marietta… Her mark in the high jump is tied for the No. 1 jump in the PAC while her effort in the long jump ranks second.
   
PAC Rookie of the Week
Lexi Shiderly • Westminster • First-year • New Castle, Pa. | Mohawk    
Shiderly broke the school record in the shot put with a throw of 40 feet, 10.25 inches (12.45m) for a ninth-place finish at the Youngstown State Collegiate Invitational Friday… She was the top NCAA Division III finisher in the event… It’s the No. 1 throw in the PAC this season and ranks 32nd in Division III.

Chatham first-year Clare Erwin (Milford, N.J. | Delaware Valley Regional) registered a first-place finish in the 5,000 at Marietta (19:25.57)... It’s currently the second-best time in the league this season… She also finished as the runner-up in the 1,000 (3:29.33)... Geneva sophomore Anne Holdeman (Bloomington, Ind. | Lighthouse Christian Academy) posted a season-best time of 1:03.78 (adj. 1:04.63) in the 400 to finish 33rd at Youngstown State… It’s the second-best time by a PAC performer this season… She also finished 49th in the 200 (28.25) … W&J sophomore Cassie Carr (Girard, Pa. | Girard) ran to a third-place finish in the mile run at Marietta with a time of 5:35.62… It’s the second-best time in the PAC this season.
