Standings
2.3 Seeding
2.3.1 Tournament seeding follows the final regular-season standings (1-4). Ties shall be broken according to the procedure outlined below:
- Head-to-Head competition between the tied teams (PAC contests only).
- Combined won-loss record against all teams above the tie.
- Goal differential between tied teams with a maximum of a 10-goal difference.
- Coin toss.
When three or more teams are tied, the same procedure shall be followed until any team emerges from the process. If any teams are still tied, the procedure will be repeated from the beginning until all teams are seeded. If three or more results are arrived at any step, and no ties remain, then teams shall be seeded according to their results.
Games remaining (Wed., 4/22): Westminster at Allegheny; Bethany at Chatham; W&J at Franciscan; Grove City at Hiram
*Grove City (8-0) has clinched the top seed, a bye through the quarterfinals and home field advantage throughout the 2026 PAC Championship Tournament. Even if Grove City loses to Hiram Wednesday and Chatham defeats Bethany to put both teams at 8-1, Grove City wins HTH tiebreaker over Chatham.
*Chatham (7-1) has clinched the #2 seed, a bye through the quarterfinals and a home semifinal contest regardless of the outcome of their game with Bethany. Even if Chatham loses to Bethany to fall into tie with Saint Vincent at 7-2, Chatham wins the HTH tiebreaker over Saint Vincent.
*Saint Vincent (7-2) has clinched the #3 seed and a home game on April 25th in the PAC Quarterfinals.
*Westminster (5-3) has clinched a tournament berth and can clinch the #4 seed and a home PAC Quarterfinal game with a win Wednesday over Allegheny (4-4). If Allegheny defeats Westminster to put both teams at 5-4 and Franciscan (4-4) loses to W&J (3-5), Allegheny earns the No. 4 seed with HTH tiebreaker and would host #5 Westminster in the Quarterfinals.
*Franciscan (4-4) can clinch a Tournament berth with a win over W&J. If Franciscan beats W&J and Westminster defeats Allegheny, Franciscan would be the #5 seed and travel to Westminster in the Quarterfinals.
- If Franciscan and Allegheny both win Wednesday, it would create a three-way tie at 5-4 between ALL/FRA/WES with the teams all going 1-1 against each other. All three teams also lost to all the teams above them in the standings, taking tiebreaker to goal differential between tied teams:
Franciscan: -3 (+5 over ALL/-8 vs. WES)
Westminster: TBD (+8 over FRA/? vs. ALL)
Allegheny: TBD (-5 vs. FRA/? vs WES)
*If ALL beats WES by 7+ goals, then ALL would be #4; WES would be #5 by HTH over FRA, who would be #6
*If ALL beats WES by 6 or fewer goals, then WES is #4; FRA is #5 due to HTH over ALL, who is #6
*Allegheny (4-4) can clinch a PAC Tournament berth with a win over Westminster Wednesday. An Allegheny win and a Franciscan loss gives Allegheny the #4 seed and they would host #5 Westminster in the Quarterfinals. If ALL & FRA win, Allegheny would either be the #4 or #6 seed, based on three-way tiebreakers outlined above.
*W&J (3-5) must win over Franciscan to keep their chances alive for the #6 seed. If W&J wins and Allegheny wins over Westminster, W&J is tied with Franciscan at 4-5 and wins HTH tiebreaker.
- If W&J beats Franciscan and Westminster beats Allegheny, then ALL/FRA/W&J are all tied at 4-5 with the teams going 1-1 against each other. All three teams also lost to all the teams above them in the standings, taking tiebreaker to goal differential between tied teams:
Allegheny: +5 (+10 over W&J/-5 vs. FRA)
Franciscan: TBD (+5 over ALL/? vs. W&J)
W&J: TBD (-10 vs. ALL/? vs. FRA)
*Regardless of FRA/W&J outcome, neither team can surpass ALL in goal differential. So in this 3-team scenario, ALL would be #5. That takes it to HTH between W&J/FRA, which W&J wins.
