AUSTIN, Texas (pacathletics.org) - Three players from Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) programs were named to the 2025 Academic All-America® football teams selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), which were released Tuesday. Two from Case Western Reserve University were selected for the First Team and Grove City College had one player gather Second Team recognition.

The Case Western Reserve players to be named First Team Academic All-America® were senior cornerback Osi Chukwuocha (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) and senior defensive lineman Joseph Swarm (Potomac Falls, Va./Potomac Falls). Grove City senior linebacker Caleb Brubaker (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) rounded out the PAC representation with his Second Team accolade.

CWRU was one of just six schools to place multiple people on the CSC Academic All-America® First Team, along with Johns Hopkins, St. John's (Minn.), Ohio Northern, Trinity (Texas), and North Central.

Off the field, Chukwuocha, a mechanical and aerospace engineering major, has a 3.862 cumulative GPA and has been named to the PAC Fall Academic Honor Roll. He was named to the Academic All-District Team for the second-straight year in 2025 and was a Van Horn Society inductee.

Chukwuocha was named to the All-PAC First Team and became just the 45th player in program history to receive multiple All-PAC honors over a career. He started all 10 games at cornerback for the Spartans during his senior season and finished the year with 50 tackles (37) solo, 4.0 tackles for loss, one interception, five pass breakups, and two quarterback hurries. Chukwuocha played in 39 games during his career, finishing his time as a Spartan with 152 tackles (112 solo), five tackles for loss, and four interceptions.

Swarm has been a standout performer academically as well, recording a 3.963 cumulative GPA as a computer engineering major. He has been named to the PAC Fall Academic Honor Roll three times over his career and was inducted into the Van Horn Society in December.

Swarm, an All-PAC Second Team honoree in 2025, proved to be a force in the pass rush for the Spartans during the season, leading the team with 7.5 sacks and 11.0 tackles for loss, both career highs. Starting all 10 games at defensive end, he had 46 total tackles (25 solo) with a pass breakup, three quarterback hurries, and two forced fumbles. Swarm had at least one sack in seven of the team's final eight games. In his 28 career games, he totaled 62 tackles (31 solo) with 14 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.

Since joining the PAC as a football affiliate in 2014, Case Western Reserve now has 14 who have earned Academic All-America® honors. Chukwuocha and Swarm are the first Spartans to be recognized since Dee Gose, Travis Johnston and Zach Hall were First Team selections in 2020. Overall, CWRU football players have totaled 38 Academic All-American honors, including 25 first-team selections.

In the classroom, Brubaker earned a 3.58 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in biology. He completed his degree at the end of the fall 2025 semester.

A D3football.com and Associated Press Division III All-America selection in 2025 on the field, Brubaker led Grove City with 7.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss and 95 total tackles last fall. He led the PAC in sacks and tackles for loss.

Brubaker earned First Team All-America from D3football.com while Associated Press named him to its Third Team All-America squad. Brubaker also earned D3football.com First Team All-Region 2 and First Team All-PAC this season. He was a Second Team All-PAC choice in 2024 after totaling 74 tackles and five interceptions.

Grove City has produced at least one Academic All-American in each of the last 24 years. Brubaker is the 13th Grove City football player to be selected as an Academic All-American and first since Gabe Dunlap (First Team) and Vinny LePre (Second) in 2023.

The 2025-26 academic year marks the 15th year that CSC (formerly CoSIDA, College Sports Information Directors of America) has based its Academic All-America program on individual divisions within college athletics. Currently, CSC honors student-athletes in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, along with a "College" division that includes NAIA institutions and junior colleges.

A student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve to be nominated for the Academic All-America program.
