TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - Grove City College, winners of six straight conference championships, was tabbed as the favorite in the 2025-26 Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Swimming and Diving Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The results of the poll were announced Wednesday, along with its annual swimmers and divers to watch list.
Voted on by the conference’s nine head coaches, the league’s preseason coaches’ poll has been in place since the 2014-15 season.
The conference moved to nine programs starting this season with Hiram College returning to the conference in all sports. Members of the PAC from 1971-89, the Terrier women's swimming and diving program had its best finish in their final year in the league when Hiram finished third in 1989.
Under the direction of 17th-year head coach Dave Fritz, Grove City pulled in eight first-place votes and totaled 64 points. Saint Vincent College collected 56 points to earn second place, with Westminster College earning 49 points with the final first-place vote to take third. Fourth place went to Washington & Jefferson College with 41 points, with fifth place going to Chatham University (35), followed by Allegheny College in sixth (31), Franciscan University in seventh (25), Hiram College in eighth (12) and Bethany College (11).
Grove City secured its sixth consecutive PAC crown last February, the program’s PAC-leading 22nd team title and their 16th championship in the last 17 years. Grove City totaled 991 points over the four-day event, while Saint Vincent finished second with 687 points and Westminster placed third with 421 points.
The 2025-26 swimmers and divers to watch list features 19 returning All-PAC honorees, including six All-PAC First Team selections. Of the 20 events held at last year’s championships, 10 individual event winners return to be on the list.
The lone major award winner from last season's PAC Championships returning to highlight this year's Watch list is Chatham sophomore Hannah Uhrinek, who earned PAC Newcomer of the Year distinction. She won PAC titles in both butterfly events, added a second place finish in the 200 and swam on the fourth-place 800 Free Relay.
The Watch list also includes three multiple individual event winners. Leading that group is Grove City sophomore Ashley Rauhauser, who was the PAC champion in the 100 and 200 Backstroke and the 200 Individual Medley. She is joined by Grove City sophomore teammate Hadleigh McNay, who won the 100 and 200 Breaststroke, and Saint Vincent junior Rachel Hutchinson, who was the winner in the 500 and 1650 Free.
The swimmers and divers to watch list also includes 10 members of the PAC’s 2024-2025 Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes who have earned a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during their semester of competition.
Grove City is set to serve as host the PAC Championships once again at the James E. Longnecker Competition Pool, which has been the home of the PAC Championships since 1990. The four-day event will be Wednesday-Saturday, February 18-21.
The NCAA Division III Region 4 (Northeast/South) Diving Championships are slated for Friday-Saturday, February 27-28.
The Division III Championships are scheduled for Wednesday-Saturday, March 18-21 at the IU Natatorium on the campus of Indiana University-Indianapolis. The event will be hosted by Franklin College and the Indiana Sports Corp.
