PAC Places Eight on WGCA All-American Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (pacathletics.org) – Eight Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) women's golfers, including five from Washington & Jefferson College and three from Allegheny College, were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team.

The W&J contingent on the Scholar Team included senior Dinah Bailey (Baden, Pa./Ambridge), sophomore Julia Barthelemy (Crescent, Pa./Moon Area), freshman Antolena Damico (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford), junior MacKenzie Schmeltz (Edwardsburg, Mich./Saint Joseph) and junior Lauren Tekely (Glendale, W.Va./John Marshall). 
 
Earning the honor for Allegheny were three first-year players in 2024-25, including Ada Coté (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta), Payton Essman (Hamburg, N.Y./Nardin Academy) and Kessler Potter (Kents Store, Va./Fluvanna County).
 
The eight PAC golfers were among 1,499 student-athletes selected from 403 different programs.
 
To earn the honor, student-athletes must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher, be on the roster at the end of the season and have played in 50% of their scheduled competitive rounds during the season.
