5/8/2025 7:25:00 PM

TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released the 2025 All-PAC women's lacrosse teams and yearly award winners Thursday evening, first announced in a selection show by the PAC Sports Network. The teams and award winning are determined by vote of the league's 10 head coaches.

The PAC Offensive Player of the Year award is Westminster College junior attack Julia Ravazza, while Allegheny College sophomore defender Amelia Henderson was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Year and Thiel senior Ashlyn Wightman earned the Midfielder of the Year for the second season in a row.

Rounding out the major award winners was Thiel senior Madison Liggett being voted as Goalie of the Year, Chatham freshman midfielder Tessa Hueber securing Newcomer of the Year laurels and Chatham's Morgan Comport was selected as the PAC Coach of the Year.

In her first season with the program after transferring to Westminster, Ravazza posted some incredible numbers in becoming the first Titan player to earn Offensive Player of the Year since 2019. Her 57 assists led the conference, while her 60 goals and 117 points ranked second in the league. Much of her damage came in conference play, as she totaled 37 goals and 38 assists in nine league outings, as her 75 points in PAC play was more than any other player. Ravazza had five games with 10+ points this season, highlighted by a five-goal, five-assist performance in the Titans' 17-8 win over Thiel in the PAC Tournament Quarterfinals.

Henderson was recognized as the top defensive player after she finished second in the conference with 66 ground balls and third in caused turnovers with 39. She had five games with five or more ground balls and had 5+ caused turnovers in three games, with both stats seeing a season-high with 10 GBs and six caused turnovers in an April 12th match-up with Thiel.

Wightman collected her second straight Midfielder of the Year honor after she led the PAC in goals and points for the third consecutive year. She amassed 113 goals and 21 assists for 134 points on the season. Wightman had 10 or more goals in four outings this season, which included a season-best 14 goals in a March 8th win over West Virginia Wesleyan. Wightman also finished third in the PAC with 118 draw controls this season and for her career, she finished with 387 goals, 439 points and 484 draw controls, as well as 278 ground balls.

This is the second Goalie of the Year honor for Liggett, who was also named the top netminder in 2022. In collecting the hardware this year, she was first in the PAC in save percentage (.569), saves (182) and saves per game (11.38) and second in goals-against average (8.59). Liggett made 10 or more saves in 10 games, which featured a season-high tying 16 in the win over Thiel on April 12th.

Hueber is the first Chatham player to earn the Newcomer of the Year award. In her first year for the Cougars, she finished tied for third in the PAC with 54 goals and third in points with 77. The first year attack had a string of nine consecutive games with a hat trick in the middle of the season and was just as productive at the end of her first year. She turned in five goals and two assists in a PAC Tournament Quarterfinal win over Allegheny and then had three goals against W&J in the semifinals, including the game-winning goal with two seconds left in the 12-11 win.

Comport's Coach of the Year recognition is the first in her three-year tenure as the Chatham head coach. The Cougars continued to set new program standards in 2025, as the thrilling semifinal victory at W&J propelled Chatham into the PAC Championship game for the first time in program history. The Cougars finished the spring with an 11-7 overall record and a 7-2 mark in PAC games, setting new program records for single-season overall and conference victories.

Also announced were the members of this year's PAC Sportsmanship Team, with that release linked above. The PAC's Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior and are an ongoing effort to both recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all conference teams.
