YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (pacathletics.org) - Grove City College won six events and amassed 148 points to earn the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships at the conference meet, which was held at Youngstown State University's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS).

The Wolverines finished 28 points ahead of Westminster College, who had 120 points, while Allegheny College posted 112 points to place third. Following in fourth was Chatham University with 54 points, while Geneva College had 45 points to take fifth and sixth place was a tie between Franciscan University and Saint Vincent College with 38 points. Rounding out the standings was Waynesburg University and Washington & Jefferson College tying for eighth (19), Thiel College in 10th (16) and Bethany College (14).

Fueling the Wolverines' title charge was Lydia Bennett, who earned Track MVP honors after an incredible night. She won three individual events and added a relay title at the end of the evening. Bennett started with a win and a conference record in the Mile, running the first sub-five-minute mile in PAC history (4:57.51). Her second victory and second PAC record came in the 800, where she posted a winning time of 2:15.14 to take a second off the previous record.

After Bennett won her third event of the night, running the 3000 in 10:21.23 to win by more than five seconds, she finished her night on the 4x400 relay. Teaming with Nadine Lauffer, Cayla Lawrence and Audrey Karwowski, Bennett anchored the relay to a victorious time of 4:03.20, which also established a new PAC record.

While Bennett was dominating most of the distance events, Grove City's Kiara White would post the other two event wins for the team in the sprints. She was the top seed following the prelims in the 60 with a time of 7.88 seconds, then bettered that by racing to a finals time of 7.86 seconds to take first. Later in the meet, White added a first place in the 200 to her day by breaking the tape in the 25.64 seconds. Following the championships, White was recognized as the PAC Newcomer of the Year.

The final two major awards at the Championships were earned by Chatham's Aurielle Brunner, who collected Field MVP and Overall Track and Field MVP. She won a total of three events, taking first in the 60 Hurdles on the track (9.32) and swept the long jump (5.89 meters) and triple jump (11.96m) while smashing the conference record in both events.

Brunner's active day also included second place showings in the 200 (26.18) and the high jump (1.58m) while finishing her meet by running on Chatham's fifth-place 4x400 relay.

The PAC record book saw several new marks set, as in addition to the new standards Bennett and Brunner achieved, three other records were broken. In the opening event of the day, Westminster's Breannda Davis won the high jump by clearing 1.65 to set a new conference mark.

The first event on the track was also a record-breaking performance with Allegheny's Chloe Bonson winning the 5000 in a time of 17:37, 61, shaving more than 20 seconds off the previous record which had stood since 2019. And in the Distance Medley Relay, Franciscan's team of Jessica CampbellMaryGrace GauntnerLauren Dosch and Claire Walters surpassed the previous PAC record in the event by nearly 12 seconds with a winning time of 12:35.37.

After guiding the Wolverines' program to the conference title, Grove City head coach Jessica Cooper earned PAC Coach of the Year.

At the conclusion of the meet, the PAC Sportsmanship Team members were also recognized. The Sportsmanship Team announcement is linked above.
