Men's Soccer
Standings
The top six (6) teams qualify for the PAC Championship Tournament, solely determined by the conference schedule. Seeding is determined by the following:
1) Maximum points (win=3 points; draw=1 point);
2) Head-to-head (H-to-H);
3) Goal differential in conference matches (4-goal limit per match);
4) Goals for in conference matches (4-goal limit per match);
5) Goals against in conference matches (4-goal limit per match);
6) Points earned vs. descending conference opponents (starting with the team with the most points);
7) Coin toss.
When three or more teams are tied, the above tie break scenarios are applied until either a single team or multiple teams are eliminated or advanced. Once a team(s) are eliminated or advanced, the tie break scenario reverts back to the first criteria of the tie break scenarios and continues until the field is set.

Wednesday, Oct. 29: Waynesburg at Grove City / Allegheny at Saint Vincent / Geneva at Franciscan / Chatham at Hiram / Westminster at W&J / Thiel at Bethany
2025 PAC Men’s Soccer Tournament scenarios
*Grove City (28 points) has clinched the #1 seed, a first round bye, and home field advantage throughout the tournament regardless of the outcome of their contest vs. Waynesburg Wednesday.
*Franciscan (22 points) can clinch the #2 seed and a first round bye with a win or tie against Geneva, or an Allegheny loss to tie vs. Saint Vincent. The only way Franciscan can fall to the #3 seed is with a loss to Geneva coupled with an Allegheny win over Saint Vincent, which would leave FRA/ALL each with 22 points and Allegheny wins the HTH tiebreaker.
*Allegheny (19 points), Saint Vincent (18 points) and Geneva (16 points) have all clinched tournament berths. Allegheny can clinch at least the #3 seed with a win against Saint Vincent, and will clinch a first round home game with a win or tie against the Bearcats. Saint Vincent can clinch the #3 seed with a win over Allegheny and will clinch at least the #4 seed and a first round home contest with a tie vs. the Gators. Both Allegheny and Saint Vincent hold HTH tiebreakers over Geneva, so Geneva can only get to the #4 seed and a home playoff game with a win over Franciscan coupled with a Saint Vincent loss to Allegheny. Otherwise, Geneva has clinched no worse than the #5 seed. Even if Geneva loses to Franciscan and W&J defeats Westminster to tie Geneva at 16 points, Geneva holds the HTH tiebreaker over W&J.
*W&J (13 points) can clinch the final tournament berth with a win over Westminster. If W&J loses to Westminster, either Hiram (11 points) or Waynesburg (11 points) can pass W&J for the #6 seed with a win over Chatham or Grove City, respectively. If W&J ties Westminster, they hold a HTH tiebreaker over Waynesburg but finished tied with Hiram, so a 3-way tiebreaker would end with W&J at the #6 seed (1-0- 1) over Hiram (0-0-2) and Waynesburg (0-1-1).
A 2-way tiebreaker between W&J and Hiram alone would move to goal differential in conference matches (max 4 goals/contest). Currently, W&J is -6 and Hiram is at -3, so Hiram would earn the #6 seed in this scenario.
A 2-way tiebreaker between Hiram and Waynesburg (if both win to tie at 14 points and W&J loses to finish at 13) saw the teams tie HTH so we move to goal differential in conference matches (max 4 goals/contest). Waynesburg is currently +3 and Hiram is -3, so Waynesburg would win this tiebreaker.
*Both Chatham (10 points) and Bethany (10 points) are currently three points behind W&J for the #6 seed, but only Chatham has an outside chance at the final seed due to W&J holding a HTH tiebreaker over Bethany. The only scenario where Chatham gets the final seed is a Chatham win over Hiram coupled with a W&J loss to Westminster and Waynesburg either tying or losing against Grove City. This would result in a 2-way tie between Chatham and W&J for the final seed at 13 points, which Chatham would win due to a HTH tiebreaker over W&J.
*In addition to Bethany, Westminster and Thiel have also been eliminated from tournament eligibility regardless of the results of Wednesday’s matches.

2025 PAC Women’s Soccer Tournament scenarios
*Grove City (28 points) has clinched a first round bye in the tournament and will host a semifinal contest. GRO can clinch the #1 seed with a win or tie against Waynesburg Wednesday, otherwise they will be the #2 seed.
*Waynesburg (26 points) has also clinched a first round bye in the tournament and will host a semifinal contest. Waynesburg can clinch the #1 seed with a win over Grove City Wednesday, otherwise they will be the #2 seed.
*Saint Vincent (22 points) has clinched the #3 seed and a first round home contest regardless of the outcome of their contest at Allegheny Wednesday.
*Allegheny (18 points) and Chatham (18 points) can each clinch tournament berths with wins Wednesday over Saint Vincent and Hiram, respectively. If Allegheny and Chatham end up tied, the Gators are the higher seed due to HTH tiebreaker. Both teams also clinch tournament berths if Franciscan and Geneva finish in a tie, regardless of the outcome of their matches.
*Franciscan (17 points) and Geneva (16 points) play Wednesday, so the winner will clinch a tournament berth. If the teams finish in a tie, then Franciscan clinches a playoff spot and Geneva is eliminated from tournament eligibility.
*There are numerous possible 2- and 3-team tie combinations between the four teams competing for the final three seeds in the tournament depending on the results of Wednesday’s matches. Here are the relevant HTH tiebreaker results:
Allegheny: Win vs. CHA (2-0); Loss vs. FRA (0-1); Tie vs. GEN (2-2)
Chatham: Loss vs. ALL (0-2); W vs. FRA (3-0); W vs. GEN (3-0)
Franciscan: Win vs. ALL (1-0); Loss vs. CHA (0-3); GEN – Wed.
Geneva: Tie vs. ALL (2-2); L vs. CHA (0-3); FRA – Wed.
*If Allegheny and Chatham lose and Franciscan ties Geneva, we have a three-way tie at 18 points between ALL/CHA/FRA and all three teams split HTH, so we move to goal differential in conference matches (max 4 goals/contest).
Here is where the teams currently stand: ALL - +16; CHA - +4; FRA - +5 – ALL is #4 seed; Tie starts over and CHA is #5 seed due to HTH over #6 FRA
*If both Allegheny and Chatham tie and Geneva defeats Franciscan, we have a three-way tie at 19 points between ALL/CHA/GEN. Based on combined HTH tiebreaker, ALL (1-0-1) is #4 seed; CHA (1-1) is #5; GEN (0-1-1) is #6.
*W&J, Westminster, Hiram, Bethany and Thiel have all been eliminated from tournament eligibility regardless of the results of Wednesday’s matches.
