PAC Player of the Week
Gabrielle Bassette • Allegheny • Freshman • Miami, Fla./Miami Country Day School
Bassette helped Allegheny clinch its fourth consecutive undefeated PAC regular season and the top seed in the PAC tournament with 7-0 wins over Saint Vincent & W&J ... She beat the defending PAC Player of the Year, Saint Vincent's Carolina Walters, snapping her 33-match undefeated streak by overcoming a first-set loss to win in a super tiebreaker, 5-7, 6-1, 10-5 ... Bassette added to No. 2 doubles wins against the Bearcats (6-0) and the Presidents (6-2) ... She enters the PAC tournament with a combined 29-2 record.

Palmieri helped Allegheny clinch its fourth consecutive undefeated PAC regular season and the top seed in the PAC tournament with sweeps over Saint Vincent & W&J ... She earned two singles wins at No. 2, outscoring her opponents 24-2 with only one game lost in each match and added a No. 3 doubles win over Saint Vincent by a 6-1 final score ... Palmieri enters the PAC tournament with a combined 24-5 overall record, including a 7-0 singles record against PAC opponents.

PAC Records & Milestones
Allegheny has earned the top seed and home court advantage throughout the PAC Women's Tennis Championship Tournament, which opens with quarterfinal matches on Tuesday, Oct. 14th ... Tuesday's quarterfinal matches will feature No. 3 Franciscan (8-2, 6-2 PAC) hosting No. 6 Saint Vincent (9-6, 3-5 PAC), while No. 5 Geneva (7-6, 4-4 PAC) will travel to No. 4 W&J (9-3, 5-3 PAC) ... Earning byes into the semifinal round were top-seeded Allegheny (10-0, 8-0 PAC) and No. 2 Grove City (8-3, 7-1 PAC), who will host matches on Thursday, Oct. 16 ... The winner of the No. 4 W&J-No. 5 Geneva quarterfinal will take on Allegheny in Meadville and Grove City will host the team that emerges from the No. 3 Franciscan-No. 6 Saint Vincent quarterfinal ... The championship match will be Saturday, Oct. 18th at the highest remaining seed.
