TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - For the first time since 2005-06, one school has swept the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) All-Sports Trophies, as Grove City College has captured both the Women's and Men's Trophies for the 2023-24 academic year.

The all-sports trophies are annually awarded to the schools which perform the best across the board in league competition. First-place finishes are worth 11 points, runner-up finishes are worth 10 points ... last place is worth one point.

Grove City's men's trophy is their second consecutive and third in the last four years. The Wolverines were tied with Washington & Jefferson College following the winter, but Grove City's PAC crowns in lacrosse and outdoor track and field propelled them into sole possession of first place and the 14th Men's All-Sports Trophy in the school's history.

In winning their second women's trophy in the last three years, Grove City used a title in women's lacrosse and three other top four finishes to add to their lead following the winter and secure the program's 20th all-time Women's All-Sports Trophy.

The Grove City sweep is the 10th time the same school has claimed both trophies in the last 35 years and first since W&J won both in 2005-06. The Presidents also won both trophies in 1993-94. This is the eighth sweep by the Grove City programs and the Wolverines' first since 2001-02.

Men
Grove City broke their tie with W&J by repeating as champions in lacrosse and outdoor track and field and added second-place finishes in baseball and tennis and a fourth place showing in golf to total 50 points this spring. The 108 total points by the Wolverines this year is the most scored by a men's program in the history of the all-sports trophy, surpassing Grove City's previous high total of 97.5 set last year.

W&J finished second in the Men's All-Sports standings for the second year in a row. The Presidents claimed the PAC title in baseball and had runner-up finishes in golf and outdoor track and field to finish with 100.5 points for the year and finished ahead of third-place Saint Vincent College, who had 86.5 points this season. Finishing fourth was Allegheny College, who had a strong spring with titles in golf and tennis and a runner-up placement in lacrosse to jump two spots and score 83 points this year.

Westminster College placed fifth overall with 73 points, while Geneva College took sixth with 70.5 points and Waynesburg University ranked seventh with 62.5. In eighth place was Thiel College (43), followed by Chatham University (41.5) Franciscan University (40) and Bethany College (32.5).

Women
Highlighted by their women's lacrosse program's first PAC championship, a third place in outdoor track and field and fourth places in golf and softball, Grove City scored 36 points this spring to finish with a new Women's Trophy record total of 99 points for the year, just barely eclipsing the 98.5 totaled by Allegheny when the Gators finished first a year ago.

Westminster finished in second place with 91 total points. The Titans scored a conference-high 39 points this spring after capturing titles in golf, softball and outdoor track and field as they jumped from fourth place following the winter to second. W&J, fueled by runner-up finishes in golf and outdoor track and field, remained in third place with 87.5 points for the year to edge out Allegheny, who placed fourth with 85.

In fifth place was Franciscan with 62.5 points, followed by Saint Vincent in sixth place (59) and Geneva in seventh (53). Chatham came in eighth (50), with Waynesburg (44), Bethany (42.5) and Thiel (32.5) completing the rankings.
