(pacathletics.org) - After registering an undefeated league record through the regular season, four-time defending champion Grove City College has earned the top seed for the 2024 Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament. The Wolverines went 8-0 in conference action this season to claim the top seed and home-field advantage through the four-team championship tournament. Grove City, who finished 13-4 overall in the regular season, is vying for its fifth consecutive PAC crown. The Wolverines made it four straight with a convincing 27-3 triumph over Saint Vincent College in the title game of the 2023 Tournament. This year's conference playoffs will begin on Wednesday, May 1 with a pair of semifinal match-ups. At 7 pm, No. 2 Allegheny College (9-6, 7-1 PAC) will host the third seed, Saint Vincent College (8-8, 6-2 PAC) in Meadville. The second semifinal will have the top-seeded Wolverines taking on No. 4 Westminster College (10-7, 5-3 PAC) in Grove City, with the opening faceoff scheduled for 7 pm. Saturday's title game will be hosted by the highest remaining seed following Wednesday's semifinal games. Information regarding this year's championship game will be announced after the semifinal round. The winner of the PAC Championship Tournament will receive the conference's automatic-qualifying bid to the Division III Championship. The field for this year’s Division III Championship is scheduled to be announced Sunday, May 5.
