TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - The 2023-24 All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Swimming and Diving teams were released Thursday with 42 student-athletes earning recognition for their performance at PAC Championships.

The all-conference swimming and diving teams are determined by a formula-based selection process using student-athletes' individual and relay finishes at the league's annual championships.

A total of 20 student-athletes earned First Team All-PAC, while 18 were named Second Team All-PAC and four garnered Honorable Mention status.

Pacing the all-conference representation
was PAC champion Grove City College, who had 17 earn All-PAC, including nine on First Team. Westminster College placed eight on the all-conference squads, followed by Saint Vincent College and Washington & Jefferson College with seven each. Completing the All-PAC teams was Allegheny College with three.

Back on Feb. 17th, Grove City captured its sixth consecutive and 24th overall conference crown. With 1,090 points scored over the four-day championship event, the Wolverines finished in first place in front of Westminster College, who totaled 628 points, and Saint Vincent College, who scored 605. In fourth place was Washington & Jefferson College with 423 points, followed by Chatham University (197), Allegheny College (118) and Bethany College (10).

The First Team All-PAC group is led by Grove City's Caleb Einolf (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown), who won three individual events and had a hand in four victorious relays at PAC Championships. His performance earned the Wolverine sophomore his second consecutive PAC Swimmer of the Year award, becoming the first PAC competitor to earn back-to-back Swimmer of the Year awards since Saint Vincent's Jacob Davis repeated in 2018 and 2019.

Einolf's event wins at PAC Championships included first places in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly and 100 Freestyle, while he also swam legs on relays that won PAC titles in the 200 Medley, 200 Free, 400 Medley and 400 Free Relays. Highlighting Einolf's championship efforts was his win in the 100 Free with a time of 44.86 seconds, which surpassed the NCAA Championships provisional qualifying standard.

Earning PAC Newcomer of the Year was Grove City freshman Owen Hancock (Brunswick, Ohio/Westside Christian). In his first PAC Championship meet, he won the 200 Butterfly, finished second in the 100 Butterfly and swam on the 800 Free, 200 Free, 400 Medley and 400 Free Relays which finished first. This is the third consecutive year a Grove City swimmer has claimed Newcomer of the Year.

Last year's PAC Newcomer of the Year, Grove City sophomore Will Sterrett (Wilmington, N.C./Hoggard), also earned First Team All-PAC this season after he had a hand in five event wins. Those included individual titles in both the 200 and 400 Individual Medleys, as well as the 200 Backstroke. Also winning multiple PAC individual titles was W&J sophomore Logan Marks (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin), who swept the 100 and 200 Breaststroke titles.

The PAC Diver of the Year Award stayed with Westminster after senior Sean Perrone (Avondale, Pa./Kennett) was the winner on both the three-meter and one-meter boards. The Titans have now claimed seven consecutive PAC Diver of the Year awards after Connor May won three in a row from 2018-20 and Patrick Holton followed with three consecutive awards from 2021-23.

The conference coaching awards were also earned by previous winners. Grove City's Dave Fritz was named the PAC Coach of the Year, his seventh consecutive and 12th overall honor with the men's program. The PAC Diving Coach of the Year went to Westminster's Collin Vest, who has now won all three years he's been with the Titan program.
