PAC Places Seven on ECAC & NCCAA Women's Soccer Postseason Teams Franciscan's Dexter earns ECAC Rookie of the Year 12/19/2024 4:15:00 PM DANBURY, Conn. (pacathletics.org) – Seven players from Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) women's soccer programs recently received additional postseason accolades, including six on All-ECAC teams and one with NCCAA All-Region laurels. Those awarded with All-ECAC recognitio, included Franciscan University freshman forward Eva Dexter (Troy, Ohio/Lehman Catholic) earning ECAC Rookie of the Year. Allegheny College senior forward Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) and Westminster College senior Lydia Ohm (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) were voted First Team, while three others were selected for Second Team. They included Dexter, Waynesburg University sophomore defender Wavery Lorne ((New Providence, N.J./Governor Livingston) and Westminster senior midfielder Brooke Horvath (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional). Also securing another postseason honor was Geneva graduating senior Saige Musser (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) being named to the NCCAA All-Region Team. Musser received the most votes of any forward in the region after she led the Geneva offense this year with a team-high eight goals, while adding five assists. Musser played three seasons after transferring from Shenandoah after her freshman season, and finished her career with 22 goals and ten assists. That's the most goals by a Golden Tornado since Erin Houser wrapped up her career in 2020 with 22 goals. Dexter being named ECAC Rookie of the Year makes her the first Baron to earn this honor. Dexter adds this honor to already being named First Team All-PAC and PAC Newcomer of the Year last month. She racked up 30 points with 14 goals and two assists in her first collegiate season. Her 30 points are the fifth most in a season by a Baron all-time and her 12 goals in conference play were tied for the most by any player in the conference this season. Ashley Ruttencutter was the last Baron to be honored by the ECAC, which was back in 2012. Miller, the 2024 PAC Offensive Player of the Year and an All-Region VII First Teamer, earned another first-team nod from the ECAC after a record-setting campaign. She set a new Allegheny single-season record with 66 points and finished just one goal shy of the record for goals in a season with 27. Miller also set a new team record for points in a game with 11 (4g-3a) in an 11-0 shutout victory over Thiel on October 26. Among national leaders, Miller ended the year ranked second in goals, third in points per game (3.30), fourth in points, fifth in goals per game (1.35) and 10th in game-winning goals (6). Ohm was recognized as an All-PAC selection for the first time in her career on Nov. 12, earning first team honors. In 18 starts this season, she totaled 24 points on 11 goals and two assists. Ohm finished the year with a team-high four game-winning goals. She was also part of Westminster's defensive effort that finished with five shutouts and limited its opponents to a 1.88 goals per game average in 2024. Surdykowski, an All-PAC First Team selection, more than tripled her offensive production from her debut season and ranked second on Allegheny in points (28), goals (10) and assists (8). Surdykowski had a season-best five points (2g-1a) in two contests, including a 5-0 PAC victory at Washington and Jefferson College and the shutout win over Thiel in the regular-season home finale. Lorne was an All-PAC First Team selection in 2024. A two-way threat, she set career-highs with five goals, four assists and 14 points. Lorne ranked third on Waynesburg in points and led the Yellow Jackets with four game-winning goals, including in PAC wins over W&J, Chatham and Geneva. Lorne's selection gives the Jackets an All-ECAC pick for the second-straight year, as Lorne follows in the footsteps of Kate James, who collected second team honors last fall. Horvath, a four-time All-PAC selection, was a First Team All-PAC pick in November for the second time in her career (2021). She finished the year with 28 points on 11 goals and six assists. In Westminster's 6-1 victory over visiting Washington & Jefferson College on Oct. 30, she eclipsed 100 career points with three goals and an assist for her third career match scoring seven or more points. Horvath was named a United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team choice on Dec. 4 and is a three-time United Soccer Coaches All-Region selection.
