Week 3 PAC Honors (for games played Feb. 27-March 5)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 3 of the 2023 season.
 
PAC Offensive Player of the Week
Chase Lawler • Thiel • Sophomore midfielder • Etters, Pa./Red Land 
Lawler recorded 14 points in a 1-1 week for the Tomcats and also registered 14 ground balls and two caused turnovers … He had five points with two goals and three assists against Division II Malone on Wednesday … Lawler then erupted for nine points with five goals and four assists, as well as 11 ground balls, in a 16-9 win over Hiram on Saturday … His nine points tied him for the sixth most in a single game in program history.

Allegheny junior Aidan D’Amato (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) tied for the team lead with eight points in a 1-1 week, highlighted by a season-high three goals and five points in comeback win over Mount Union … Chatham sophomore Ethan Rinker (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Palotti) posted two goals, one assist and four ground balls in the win at Rosemont … Franciscan junior Alexander Dhabliwala (Isle of Palms, S.C./Oceanside Collegiate Academy) had two assists in the first half and scored three goals in the second half to fuel the Barons’ comeback win over Wilmington … Grove City sophomore Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) fired in four goals Saturday against Coast Guard … W&J senior Carter Watts (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown, Area) registered a hat trick at Marietta before posting a goal and three assists in the win at Heidelberg … Westminster senior Nick Hubner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) scored career-high six goals in an 11-8 win over Mount Union.
   
PAC Defensive Player of the Week
Sam Smith • Franciscan • Sophomore defender • Galena, Ohio/Big Walnut
Smith was a big factor in Franciscan’s come-from-behind victory over Wilmington Saturday with five caused turnovers and six ground balls … He helped the Barons have 27 successful clears and lock down the defense in the second half to allow just one Wilmington goal and zero over the final 28+ minutes of the game.

Allegheny junior Cassady Bouthet (Vernon, Conn. | Rockville) had a team-leading eight ground balls and caused two turnovers, as Allegheny rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Mount Union … Chatham freshman Jacob Lubawy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) had two assists, a team-high six ground balls and two caused turnovers in the victory at Rosemont … Thiel junior Steve Alcegaire (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) scooped seven ground balls and caused five turnovers in two games last week … W&J freshman Levi Krebs (Sewickley, Pa./Pine Richland) had a game-high eight ground balls in the 10-3 win at Heidelberg … Westminster sophomore Gavin Jones (Henrico, Va./Douglas S. Freeman) totaled 10 ground balls, three caused turnovers, three goals and a pair of assists in Westminster’s 1-1 week.
 
PAC Specialist of the Week
Fabian Onativia • Franciscan • Freshman goalie • Cleveland, Ohio/Padua Franciscan
Onativia set a career-high with 15 saves and scooped eight ground balls to help the Barons rally for a victory over Wilmington … He allowed just one goal and made six saves in the second half, as Franciscan came back from a 5-4 halftime deficit to score a 12-6 triumph.

Allegheny senior Eric Mirkovich (York, Pa./York Central) made 10 saves in his first start of the season, a 13-10 comeback win over Mount Union … Bethany senior Andrew Smith (Erie, Pa./McDowell) registered 28 saves in a narrow loss to Hiram and broke the program’s all-time saves record … Grove City junior Danny Stone (Chantilly, Va./Flint Hill) made 10 saves Saturday against Coast Guard … Thiel senior Jason Masciantonio (Wernersville, Pa. | Conrad Weiser) made 26 stops in a pair of games last week and also picked up five ground balls … W&J junior Ronin Keane (Medford, Mass. | Arlington Catholic) won 10-of-15 faceoffs in the Heidelberg win and totaled 12 ground balls, two goals and one assist in a 1-1 week … Westminster junior Dino Mario D’Alesio (Youngstown, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney) won 21-of-39 faceoffs and added 14 ground balls during Westminster’s 1-1 week.
 
PAC Rookie of the Week
Gideon Sullivan • Allegheny • Freshman attack • Gettsville, N.Y./Cathedral (Ind.)
Sullivan led all Gators with seven goals and tied for the team lead with eight points in a 1-1 week … Two of his goals came on man-up opportunities and he added eight ground balls … not only did he score his first career goal, but he had a hat trick in a 13-10 comeback win over Mount Union … Sullivan set season-highs with four goals and five points in a loss to Lycoming Saturday.

Chatham freshman Alex Stanuikynas (Delran, N.J./Delran) scored his first collegiate goal at Rosemont and then added three more in the contest, including the game-winner … Grove City freshman Kobi Bui (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) scored three goals and assisted a fourth Saturday against Coast Guard … Thiel freshman Nathaniel Turner (Conneaut, Pa. | Conneaut Area) recorded two points with one goal and one assist and picked up four ground balls in two games last week … W&J freshman Noah Bracco (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Central Catholic) set a season-high with 21 saves at Marietta and then stopped 12 shots in win at Heidelberg … Westminster freshman Brendan Siwik (Aldie, Va./John Champe) totaled 10 saves and earned his first career win in a 13-10 triumph over Mount Union Saturday.
