The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 6 of the 2023 season.
 
PAC Offensive Player of the Week
Declan O'Brien • Allegheny • Senior wide receiver • Irwin, Pa./Norwin
O'Brien set a program single-game record with 18 receptions in Allegheny's 35-28 loss at W&J … His 18 receptions are the most in a game by any wide receiver in D-III football so far this season, while his 233 yards rank third all-time in Allegheny history and are the ninth-most by a D-III receiver this season …O'Brien also caught a 17-yard TD reception, giving him at least one touchdown in five of six games played … He has gone over 200 yards in two of his last three games and over 150 yards in four of six games this season …O'Brien became the third player in Allegheny history to surpass 2,000 career receiving yards and now ranks second all-time in school history with 2,208 yards … He ranks third with 157 career receptions and is tied for third with 18 receiving touchdowns.

PAC Defensive Player of the Week
Thomas Coury • Carnegie Mellon • Senior linebacker • Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg
Coury played a huge part in the Tartans' 80-22 victory over Thiel Saturday night ... Coury's defensive efforts included six tackles, a sack, one pass break-up and a forced fumble and then he returned his forced fumble 23 yards for a touchdown ... In addition, Coury headed a special teams unit that blocked a school-record three punts, as he blocked one and scooped another punt block and returned it 31 yards for a score ... The three blocked punts is one off the NCAA single-game record.

PAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Zachai Simmons • Washington & Jefferson • Junior defensive back • Hawthorne, N.J./Linsly-W.Va.
Simmons blocked an Allegheny punt and returned it for a touchdown in W&J's 35-28 victory ... With the Presidents leading 21-7 early in the second quarter, Simmons blocked the kick, scooped up the loose ball and went 15 yards for the TD to extend the W&J lead ... Simmons also added three pass breakups and five total tackles in the win over the Gators.

PAC Newcomer of the Week
Brendan McCullough • Carnegie Mellon • Freshman wide receiver • Venetia, Pa./Peters Township   
McCullough played a factor in the Tartans' 80-22 victory over Thiel Saturday at Gesling Stadium ... McCullough had a season-high five catches while recording his first collegiate touchdown, a seven-yard TD reception in the third quarter, and finished with 29 yards receiving in the win.

PAC Records & Milestones
The 80 points scored for Carnegie Mellon is the second-most points scored in Tartan football history behind only when the Tartans scored 88 points against Waynesburg in 1915 ... CMU recorded 16 tackles-for-loss, which is the second most in a single game for the program ... With 4,630 yards passing for his career, Carnegie Mellon QB Ben Mills ranks sixth all-time as a Tartan and needs 184 more to move into fifth... Grove City RB Clayton Parrish went over the 2,000-yard mark for his career (2,005) and combined with teammate Nico Flati (2,043), it is the first time in program history that two backs with over 2,000 career yards have played together after surpassing the milestone ... With his four TD passes Saturday in the win over Allegheny, W&J QB Jacob Pugh now has 20 touchdown passes this season to rank third in NCAA Division III.
