PAC Runner of the Week

Mazzie Standish • Allegheny • Sophomore • Wexford, Pa. | North Allegheny Standish finished as the runner-up at Saturday morning’s Allegheny Classic… She registered a time of 19 minutes, 02.0 seconds on the three-mile course… Standish’s run helped host Allegheny finish second in the seven-team field with 34 points… Seventy-eight runners competed at the Robertson Athletic Complex in Meadville.

Other notable performers

Chatham sophomore Claire Erwin (Milford, N.J. | Delaware Valley Regional) finished fourth (19:15.9) at the Allegheny Classic… Franciscan sophomore Claire Walters (Manlius, N.Y. | Fayetteville-Manlius) was 14th (18.31.10) at Notre Dame’s National Catholic Invitational… She was the second Division III competitor to cross the finish line and posted Franciscan’s best individual finish at the event since Theresa Evans (12th) in 2009… Grove City sophomore Emma Fiscus (Brookville, Pa. | Brookville) placed 16th (20:16.3) at the Allegheny Classic… Thiel junior Hannah Jones (Clarks Mills, Pa. | Commodore Perry) was 58th (22:55.6) at the Allegheny Classic… Westminster senior Sadie Cunningham (Webster, N.Y. | Webster Thomas) finished 16th (24:49.9) at the Penn State Behrend Invitational.

 

PAC Rookie of the Week

Chloe Bonson • Allegheny • Freshman • Penn Township, Pa. | Penn-Trafford Bonson posted a 10th-place finish at the Allegheny Classic Saturday morning at the Robertson Athletic Complex in Meadville… She logged a time of 19 minutes, 52.4 seconds on the three-mile course… Bonson’s finish helped Allegheny place second in the seven-team field with 34 points… Seventy-eight runners competed at the event.

Franciscan freshman Catherine London (Gibsonia, Pa. | Homeschooled) was 146th (22:10.6) at Notre Dame’s National Catholic Invitational… Grove City freshman Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa. | Canon-McMillan) was 38th (21:17.10) at the Allegheny Classic… Thiel freshman Brooke Griffith (Chicora, Pa. | Karns City) finished 64th (24:05.90) at the Allegheny Classic.
