W&J, Grove City to play for PAC title Saturday

GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org)--Top-seeded Washington & Jefferson College and No. 2 Grove City College secured spots in Saturday's Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament title game after posting semifinal victories Wednesday night. 

W&J (11-4) earned an 18-6 win over No. 4 Saint Vincent College (10-8) at Alexandre Stadium in Washington. Number two Grove City (14-3) claimed a 12-6 victory over No. 3 Franciscan University (8-6) at Don Lyle Field in Grove City. 

Saturday's title game is scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m. at Alexandre Stadium. 

The winner of the PAC Championship Tournament will receive the conference's automatic-qualifying bid to the Division III Championship. Thirty-two conferences have been granted automatic qualification (Pool A) for this year's championship. The 46-team field for this year’s Division III Championship is scheduled to be announced Monday, May 9. First and second round games are scheduled for Saturday-Sunday, May 14-15.
