GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org)--The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its All-PAC men's lacrosse teams and yearly award winners Wednesday afternoon. The league's eight head coaches determined, by vote, this year's All-PAC teams and annual award winners.

Grove City College senior midfielder Brett Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md. | Marriotts Ridge) was selected as the PAC Offensive Player of the Year, while PAC Defensive Player of the Year honors went to Grove City senior faceoff specialist Grant Evans (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Upper St. Clair). Grove City freshman attack Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y. | Honeoye Falls-Lima) claimed the PAC Newcomer of the Year award and Grove City fifth-year head coach Alec Jernstedt was selected as the PAC Coach of the Year.

Gladstone and Evans were each honored for the second-straight year. This is Jernstedt's third-straight coach of the year citation.

Gladstone was named the PAC Offensive Player of the Year and earned First Team recognition after registering a league-high 81 points on 59 goals and 22 assists in 19 games (19 starts) this season. His 59 goals are the most scored in the PAC. Gladstone tallied seven man-up goals and had four game-winning scores. He added 58 ground balls and caused 18 turnovers. Jernstedt led Grove City to the top seed in the league’s four-team championship tournament after going 7-0 in conference play during the regular season. Grove City improved to 15-4 with its 17-4 win over No. 2 Saint Vincent in the PAC Championship Tournament title game last Saturday at Robert E. Thorn Field in Grove City. It was Grove City's 13th-straight win and third-straight PAC title. Grove City is currently No. 8 in Region IV in the latest Division III regional rankings.

Also announced Wednesday were the members of this year's PAC Sportsmanship Team. The PAC’s Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior and are an ongoing effort to both recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all conference teams.

As the winner of this year's PAC Championship Tournament, Grove City received the conference's automatic-qualifying bid to the Division III Championship. Twenty-seven conferences were granted automatic qualification (Pool A) for this year's championship.
