The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 6 of the 2022 season.
 

PAC Hitter of the Week

Abby Ginter • Saint Vincent • Junior infielder • HOmer City, Pa. | Homer Center Ginter hit .619 (13-21) with three doubles, a triple, three home runs, 14 RBIs and eight runs scored during the Bearcats' 5-1 week… Over the six games she posted a slugging percentage of 1.286 and an on-base percentage of .640… In last Monday's doubleheader split with Juniata, she went a combined 4-for-7 with six RBIs, highlighted by her go-ahead grand slam in the sixth inning of Saint Vincent’s 9-6 win in the opener… In Wednesday's doubleheader sweep of Franciscan, Ginter went a combined 5-for-6… In game one, she went 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs before going 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBIs in the nightcap… In SVC's opener with Chatham on Sunday, Ginter walked twice and smacked a two-run home run before closing with a double, two singles and an RBI in the nightcap… This season Ginter is hitting .500 with five doubles, a triple, five home runs, 29 RBIs and 15 runs scored.

Bethany junior Angela Brandel (Plain City, Ohio | Jonathon Alder) was 1-for-5 with an RBI and run scored Sunday against Waynesburg… Franciscan senior Rachel Cooper (Steubenville, Ohio | Indian Creek) hit .538 with three doubles, a home run, four RBIs and six runs scored last week… Grove City senior Haley Dietz (Allison Park, Pa. | Hampton) hit .538 with four doubles, eight RBIs and five runs scored last week… She went 4-for-7 with three doubles and five RBIs Tuesday at Thiel… Thiel freshman Dani Ficeti (Greenville, Pa. | Greenville) went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI Tuesday against Grove City… Waynesburg sophomore Ella Brookman (Washington, Pa. | Chartiers-Houston) hit .462 with a home run, nine RBIs and six runs scored last week… She allowed four runs (3 earned) on six hits with a pair of strikeouts against Bethany Sunday… Westminster junior Mackenzie Latess (New Castle, Pa. | Laurel) hit .462 with two doubles, two home runs, seven RBIs and six runs scored last week.

   

PAC Pitcher of the Week

Olivia Bushore • Saint Vincent • Freshman • Claysburg, Pa. | Claysburg-Kimmel     Bushore went 2-0 with one save and a 1.65 earned-run average in four appearances (2 starts) last week… On Monday against Juniata, Bushore struck out the side in a scoreless top of the seventh to earn her first career save… Two days later, Bushore threw a 5.0 inning complete-game shutout against Franciscan, scattering five hits and striking out six… In Sunday's opener at Chatham, she earned her second-straight complete-game win, allowing three runs (2 earned) on five hits with four strikeouts in 7.0 innings of work… In 11 appearances (6 starts) this season, Bushore is 7-0 with a 1.36 ERA and 42 strikeouts… Opponents are hitting just .206 against Bushore this spring.

Franciscan sophomore Lily Wahl (Fond Du Lac, Wis. | St. Mary’s Springs Academy) was 1-1 with a 5.11 ERA last week… She had a pair of strikeouts against Pitt-Greensburg last Monday… Grove City sophomore Kaitlyn Constantino (Clarion, Pa. | Clarion) went 1-0 with an 0.70 ERA in two appearances last week… She struck out 12, walked none and allowed seven singles in 10.0 innings… She struck out eight in 4.0 shutout innings Tuesday at Thiel… Thiel sophomore Kayla Roddy (Cincinnati, Ohio | Oak Hills) allowed three earned runs and struck out two against Grove City Tuesday… Waynesburg freshman Sydney Wilson (Pentress, W.Va. | Clay Battelle) was 2-1 with a 0.41 ERA and a combined 22 strikeouts last week… She fired a two-hit shutout Thursday against Chatham… Westminster sophomore Emily Malczak (Grove City, Pa. | Grove City) went 2-0 and posted a 2.00 ERA last week to improve to 8-1 this season… She threw a complete game Thursday against Geneva, allowing two runs (2 earned) on six hits with three strikeouts and a walk.

 

PAC Rookie of the Week

Katelyn Stokan • Saint Vincent • Freshman catcher/third base • Venetia, Pa. | Peters Township     Stokan hit .450 (9-20) with four doubles, 10 RBIs and five runs scored last week for 5-1 Saint Vincent… She posted a .650 slugging percentage and a .476 one-base percentage… Stokan went 4-for-4 with two doubles, five RBIs and three runs scored in Wednesday’s 14-6 game two victory against Franciscan… She is hitting .408 with nine doubles, one home run, 18 RBIs and 10 runs scored this spring.

Bethany freshman Mary Marshall (Steubenville, Ohio | Steubenville) went 1-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored against Waynesburg Sunday… She also had three stolen bases… Franciscan freshman Kimberly McDaniels (Tucson, Ariz. | Salpointe) hit .462 last week with two doubles, a home run, seven RBIs and three runs scored… She went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, five RBIs and a run scored against Pitt-Greensburg last Monday… Westminster first-year Mia Meholick (DuBois, Pa. | DuBois Central Catholic) hit .455 last week with a double, a triple, seven RBIs and one run scored.
