The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 1 of the 2022 season.
 

PAC Hitter of the Week

Evan Sante • Washington & Jefferson • Junior outfielder • Pittsburgh, Pa. | Plum Sante finished with three hits, six RBIs and two runs scored to lead the W&J offense in game two as it completed a sweep of Mount Union Sunday… The junior center fielder hit a go-ahead grand slam in the third before adding a two-run double in the fifth inning of game two… He hit .429 in the season-opening doubleheader.

Other notable performers from last week

Junior CJ Saylor (Lancaster, Pa. | Hempfield) hit .556 with a double, triple, three walks and two RBIs Saturday in Grove City's doubleheader split in Kentucky… He went 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored in a 12-2 (8 inn.) season-opening win at Berea.

   

PAC Pitcher of the Week

Henry Litman • Washington & Jefferson • Senior • Marietta, Ga. | Walton     Litman tossed 5.0 shutout innings to record the victory in W&J's 4-3 game one win Sunday against Mount Union… He struck out six and walked just one.

Other notable performers from last week

Grove City sophomore Nate Hamel (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Upper St. Clair) earned the save in Saturday’s win over Berea… He threw 3.0 innings and struck out a pair while allowing one run (1 unearned).

 

PAC Rookie of the Week

Evan Umland • Grove City • Freshman Pitcher • Pasadena, Calif. | La Canada      Umland earned the win in Saturday’s 12-2 (8 inn.) victory at Berea, striking out 11 men in 5.0 innings… He allowed one run (1 earned) and five hits.

Other notable performers from last week

W&J freshman Dante DiMatteo (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Fox Chapel) pitched 2.0 shutout innings to preserve the game two win against Mount Union in the Presidents’ doubleheader sweep Sunday… He did not allow a hit, struck out four and walked just one to earn the save.
