Week 15 PAC Honors (for games played February 14-20)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 15 of the 2021-22 season.
 

PAC Player of the Week

Piper Morningstar • Washington & Jefferson • Senior guard • Pittsburgh, Pa. | North Allegheny Morningstar averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game last week to help W&J sew up the number one seed in this week’s PAC Championship Tournament… She fired in a career-high 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting in Saturday’s 69-61 win over visiting Grove City… It was W&J’s 20th victory this season and eighth-straight to close out its regular season schedule… Morningstar had 13 points and went 7-of-10 at the free throw line in Wednesday’s 57-50 win at Chatham… She averaged 33.0 minutes per game in the two wins last week… She ranks 12th in the league with an 11.3 points per game scoring average.

Bethany senior Courtney Walker (Moundsville, W.Va. | Cameron) averaged 10.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game last week… She had a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double against Geneva last Monday… Chatham junior Riley D’Angelo (Bellwood, Pa. | Bellwood-Antis) averaged 10.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game last week… She scored a season-high 18 points at Franciscan Saturday, knocking down 6-of-10 three-point field goal attempts… Geneva sophomore Cynthia Stewart (Silver Spring, Md. | Paint Branch) averaged 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 steals per game last week… She is now just eight steals shy of the single-season school record for steals… Grove City junior Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa. | Greensburg-Salem) averaged 22.5 points per game last week while shooting 57 percent (16-of-28) from the field… She fired in 26 points Wednesday against Westminster… Saint Vincent sophomore Emily Cavacini (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Shaler) averaged 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last week… She had 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists Wednesday at Geneva… Thiel junior Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md. | Western) averaged 13.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game last week… She had a game-high 18 points and five rebounds Saturday against Saint Vincent… Wednesday against Franciscan, Johnson posted a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double, her seventh of the season… Waynesburg senior Brooke Fuller (Allison Park, Pa. | Hampton) averaged 23.7 points and 11.7 rebounds per game last week… She shot 50.8 percent (30-59) from the floor… Fuller recorded a 29-point, 17-rebound double-double Saturday against Geneva… The 29 points were a career high… Fuller is tied for the league lead with nine double-doubles this season… She leads the PAC with a 10.6 rebounds per game average… Westminster junior Natalie Murrio (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Brentwood) averaged 9.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game last week… She finished with 11 points and seven rebounds at Bethany Saturday.

   

PAC Rookie of the Week

Meghan Dryburgh • Washington & Jefferson • Freshman forward • Pittsburgh, Pa. | Baldwin Dryburgh averaged 10.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 blocked shots per game last week for 2-0 W&J… She shot 46.7 percent (7-15) from the floor and averaged 31.5 minutes per game… Dryburgh posted an 11-point, 15-rebound double-double Wednesday in a 57-50 win at Chatham… The 15 rebounds were a career high… Dryburgh added a career-high seven assists in the win over Cougars… She has eight double-doubles this season… Dryburgh totaled nine points and eight rebounds in Saturday’s 69-61 victory over Grove City… She is averaging 9.3 points per game… Her 9.1 rebounds per game average ranks third in the PAC.

Bethany freshman Asheigh Wheeler (Quaker City, Ohio | Shenandoah) averaged 8.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last week… She finished with nine points and a career-high 15 rebounds against Geneva last Monday and had 17 points Wednesday at Waynesburg… Chatham first-year Zelimar Rodriguez (Orlando, Fla. | Bishop Moore) averaged 8.7 points per game last week… She finished with a career-high 12 points Saturday at Franciscan… Franciscan freshman Madison Doan (Escondido, Calif. | Saint Joseph Academy) averaged 19.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game last week… She registered a career-high 28 points and seven rebounds Wednesday at Thiel… Doan was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line against the Tomcats… Grove City freshman Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa. | Norwin) averaged 9.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game last week… She had 12 points and six assists Wednesday against Westminster.… Thiel freshman Lexy Wagner (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Keystone Oaks) averaged 9.7 points per game last week… She had 12 points Saturday against Saint Vincent… Waynesburg freshman Madisen Dayton (Ridgeley, W.Va. | Calvary Christian Academy) averaged 5.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last week… She posted an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double against Thiel last Monday… Westminster first-year Mackenzie Powell (Harrison City, Pa. | Penn-Trafford) finished the week averaging 5.0 points per game last week… She had six points Saturday against Bethany.
