PAC Player of the Week

Emily Lauer • Thiel • Allegheny • Sophomore guard • Knox, Pa. | Keystone 28.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 3.0 steals in a pair of PAC wins over Geneva (84-77) and Thiel (73-54) last week … Set new season highs in each game, scoring 25 points against Geneva and a single-game career-high 32 points on 14-19 shooting against Thiel … Was also one rebound shy of a double-double with a season-high nine boards against the Tomcats and logged a season-high four steals against the Golden Tornadoes.

Bethany sophomore Ashleigh Wheeler (Quaker City, Ohio | Shenandoah) scored 17 in the win over Thiel and averaged 14.5 points in a 1-1 week … Chatham sophomore Aurielle Brunner (Altoona, Pa. | Bishop Guilfoyle) averaged 16 points, 3.5 steals & 3.5 assists in a 1-1 week, including 16 points, five steals and four assists in Bethany win … Franciscan sophomore Jazzlyn Melnyk (Weirton, W.Va. | Weirton Madonna) had a pair of double-doubles, as she averaged 13.5 points and 12 rebounds for the week. … Geneva junior Mia San Nicholas (Sinajana, Guam | Academy of Our Lady of Guam), who had 20 points and eight boards in a win over Franciscan, averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals as Geneva split two games last week … Grove City senior Megan Kallock (Greensburg, Pa. | Greensburg Salem) helped Grove City to a 2-0 week by averaging 19.0 points per game ... She went 8-for-11 while scoring 20 points in 14 minutes against Franciscan and followed that with 18 points on Saturday in a pivotal win at Westminster … Saint Vincent senior Madison Weber (Grampian, Pa. | Curwensville) averaged 14.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals in Saint Vincent's 1-1 week and shot a blistering 76 percent from the field (13-for-17) …Thiel senior Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md. | Western), who leads Division III in rebounding (17.0), posted two more double-doubles while averaging 19.7 points and 11.7 rebounds and shooting 94 percent (17-of-18) from the foul line in three games … Sophomore Adalynn Cherry (Altoona, Pa. | Altoona Area) averaged 13.0 points per game last week and drained 7-of-11 three-point attempts (63.6 percent), as W&J picked up wins over Chatham and Saint Vincent. … Waynesburg junior Avery Robinson (Ravenna, Ohio | Ravenna) posted a game-high 19 points against Saint Vincent and averaged 17.0 over two games last week … Westminster senior Natalie Murro (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Brentwood) averaged 20.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last week for 1-1 Westmister, highlighted by a season-high 29 points against Grove City.

 

PAC Rookie of the Week

Jess Bickart • Allegheny • Freshman guard • Cranberry Township, Pa. | Seneca Valley Bickert averaged 11.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists & 2.0 steals per game in a pair of PAC wins over Geneva and Thiel … Scored a season-high 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting and was one rebound shy of a double-double while making three steals in the win over the Golden Tornadoes … Added eight points, three assists, two rebounds, and one steal vs. the Tomcats. .

Chatham first-year Katie Schaible (Edwardsburg, Mich. | Edwardsburg) cashed in five three-pointers and finished with 15 points & six rebounds in win over Bethany … Geneva freshman Madi Matthews (Columbiana, Ohio | Heartland Christian) tied her career-high with 14 points in the win over Francsican and averaged 11.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals as the GTs split two games … Grove City freshman Emily Garvin (Northumberland, Pa./ Northumberland Christian) averaged 7.0 points in a pair of league wins for the Wolverines … After tossing in a career-high 11 points at W&J, Saint Vincent freshman Reese Gadsby (Mercer, Pa. | Lakeview) averaged 7.5 points and 2.0 assists in a 1-1 week … Thiel freshman Shayla Foster (East Liverpool, Ohio | East Liverpool) totaled 16 points, five assists and four rebounds in three games for the Tomcats … Waynesburg freshman Tori Wesolowski (Canonsburg, Pa. | Canon-McMillan) averaged 4.0 points, 3.5 points, 1.5 assists, 1.0 block and 1.5 steals over two games this past week … Westminster freshman Gracie Schill (Rootstown, Ohio | Rootstown) was 4-of-4 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the free throw line in Tuesday's win over Pitt-Greensburg to finish with a career-high 15 points, as she averaged 8.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week.
