The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 3 of the 2022-23 season.
 

PAC Player of the Week

Destiny Johnson • Thiel • Senior forward • Baltimore, Md. | Western Johnson lifted Thiel to their first win of the season with a huge double-double against Waynesburg … She scored 34 points, a PAC-high this season, and corralled 23 rebounds in a 55-53 victory … In addition, Johnson added seven steals, two assists and a pair of blocks … She leads the nation in rebounding (19.3) and is fourth in the country in scoring (26.3) …  She has the only two games by a PAC player so far with 20+ rebounds (28 vs. Geneva 11/17 & 23 vs. Waynesburg 11/22).

Allegheny sophomore Emily Lauer (Knox, Pa. | Keystone) averaged 20.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in a 1-1 week for Allegheny...She scored 16 points with three rebounds & three assists in a 73-55 win over Bethany...Tied a career high with 24 points in a 71-65 loss at Case Western Reserve … Bethany sophomore Mackenzie Mason (Quaker City, Ohio | Shenandoah) hit for a team-leading 14 points and added two steals against Allegheny … Chatham sophomore Aurielle Brunner (Altoona, Pa. | Bishop Guilfoyle) totaled 12 points, seven steals and six assists in home victory over Geneva … Franciscan sophomore Madison Doan (San Diego, Calif. | St. Joseph Academy) turned in 22 points and seven boards in a loss against Denison … Geneva junior Mia San Nicholas (Sinajana, Guam | Academy of Our Lady of Guam) led the GTs with season-highs of 22 points and 14 rebounds against Chatham … Grove City senior Kat Goetz (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Avonworth) scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds against Saint Vincent last week … Saint Vincent senior Ella Marconi (Kane, Pa. | Kane) just missed a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, as well as two blocked shots, in a win over Grove City … W&J sophomore Adalynn Cherry (Altoona, Pa./ Altoona Area) played a key role in the Presidents’ 75-37 victory over Westminster, as she scored a team-high 14 points and added five assists, five rebounds & five steals … Waynesburg senior Anika Dansby (Massilon, Ohio | Washington) averaged 9.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a pair of games last week … Westminster senior Lindsay Bell (Youngstown, Ohio | Ursuline) made 8-of-12 attempts from the floor and finished with 18 points in the Titans’ game at W&J.

 

PAC Rookie of the Week

Sarah Santicola • Allegheny • Freshman forward/center • Moon Township, Pa. | Moon Santicola averaged 9.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in a 1-1 week for the Gators … She scored 10 points and added eight rebounds and three blocks in a 73-55 win over Bethany … Totaled eight points, 11 boards and two blocks in a 71-65 setback at Case Western Reserve … For the year, Santicola is averaging 8.6 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in seven games so far this season.

Chatham first-year Alyssa Laukus (Irwin, Pa. | Norwin) posted a team-high 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the floor and 2-for-2 from the foul line while pulling down five rebounds in a home win over Geneva … Thiel freshman Shayla Foster (East Liverpool, Ohio | East Liverpool) chipped in six points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in a narrow win over Waynesburg … Waynesburg freshman Emma Seto (Allison Park, Pa. | Brownsville) averaged 8.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in a pair of games last week … She posted a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards against Thiel.
